There are many, many billions in public and private funds being spent globally on all of the projects mentioned in the article.
We should be building nuclear plants. Wind, solar, biofuels etc. are never going to supply enough energy for highly industrialized countries.

  Perhaps we should at least be figuring out what to do with the nuclear waste that we have and expect to generate.
