I dedicated this video to my wife. She is first generation Italian and when we met, her father did not want her to leave home. And, our plans to move south were not received well (to put it politely). My wife had dedicated her life to taking care of her father and mother and being the dutiful daughter; it was terribly difficult for her to leave the nest.

When she realized that I was not willing to wait indefinitely, she packed her bags. I guess this is why I found this song so moving. We've been married for twenty-one years. We still take walks and hold hands. I'm a lucky man.

Despite all our various and sundry circumstances and experiences, don't you think the message of this song is universal?

This is a richly sentimental thread Spade, complimented by your highly personal opening comment. It's a remarkable story of love and devotion and you're surely correct to say you're indeed "a lucky man". (I'd dare add your wife is a lucky woman?)

It's a stimulating collection of images, too, and I'm always interested to try and spot the Spadecaller originals, when you present these videos. Not easy!

And while I'd admit to not being an overenthusiastic Sarah Brightman fan, the message in this song may well be universal.

    Thank you!

Neat! I'm a Sarah Brightman fan. I listen to "Harem" start to finish probably once a month.

      Nicely done, spadecaller

It is wonderful to have a special love in our lives! The painting displayed the love that you have for your wife! You are both blessed, so continue with what you have been doing to keep it that way!

The paintings are beautiful, they compliment the music!

I feel that I am blessed to be here to enjoy the beauty that exists in the world!

        Thanks Spadecaller, excellent!

I had basically the same situation, I moved my new wife 1200 miles to Seattle against her parents wishes 49 years ago. Things have worked out OK, I guess, we sometimes have to hold hands to keep from killing one another. The really neat thing about a long term relationship is that my grandkids are bringing girlfriends and wives around for us to meet. One grandson even brings a little boy to see us...

          (Lyrics)

When I was a girl, I had a favourite story

Of the meadowlark who lived where the rivers wind

Her voice could match the angels' in its glory,

          But she was blind,

          The lark was blind.

the king of the rivers took her to his palace,

          Where the walls were burnished

          bronze and golden braid,

And he fed her fruit and nuts from an

          ivory chalice and he prayed

          "Sing for me, my meadowlark

Sing for me of the silver morning.

          Set me free, my meadowlark

And I'll buy you a priceless jewel,

And cloth of brocade and crewel,

And I'll love you for life if you will

          Sing for me."

          (continued)

What a softness! The voice is so fresh and so powerful in the same time...I do not even speak about the quality of the images. Marvellous effects! Once again you did well! So suitable with the tribute to your wife. Both of you are very lucky! Thanks Spadecaller and my compliments!

                            SC: I've been evangelized! LOL

The artwork & the song by Sarah Brightman were indeed stunningly beautiful. Your choreography of the video made it a pure delight to experience.

My wife of 42 years was a God-send. I'd given up hope on finding a lady truly interested in pleasing God, until one day she caught my eye at a youth meeting that the Pastor conducted in his parsonage. She had a beautiful heart and wasn't hard on the eyes to look at either. The Pastor married us a year later.

We love each other even more as the years go by, serving the Lord. -Rev. S
