tchef - As you may well know most of these guys don't want to hear what the REV has to say. They have found their bone and like a dog they are not giving it up for anything. Their interest is not understanding but polarization, separation and racism. They are raciest and they have found their voice at the behest of the Clinton's (bill Jackson remark). I don't think we should concern ourselves with these people they were never going to vote for him anyway. Their intent now is to convert as many to their raciest views as possible. These very people stood by a republican congress covered up the action of a known child molester and still voted for those members. To me they are in no way qualified to pass judgment on anyone. Rev Right was Quoting the president of Iran when he said "the chicken is coming home to rust" But if you haven't listen to the entire recordings you wouldn't know that.

        tbkenndy, the question was asked of the German people, Where were the Good Germans when the holocaust was going on. Germany is stained for what happened, Nazi Party, or what ever. The tragedy is that America has very lofty ideals and will judge other lands but allow, no perform, such an act. Are we forgetful in the Land that don't even want someone to remind you that God will not bless the the Land, but may Damn the Land. Are you equally as quick to remember the real issue and not pass it as party blame. We need Change so this is not likely to go on. Then, it serves some, so they do want it to go on.         Don't get me wrong I am so disgusted that America could do this it makes me sick. My point is that the total bashing of the "republicans" and "neo-cons" on this and other threads is to point out both sides make terrible decisions. I am in no way justifying the actions.

        Actually, no. That was one isolated event, not justification for America-hating. I'm glad that the Tuskeegee Airmen, the Buffalo Soliders and other Black patriots didn't share his feelings of self-Wrighteousness.

        Oh come now, Ani, I've seen DOZENS of posts calling Obama a 'radical racist' because of his association with Wright.
        As for McCain, sure the quote makes a bit more sense when taken IN CONTEXT. For some reason it's okay to strip the context from Wright's sound bites, but NOT okay to strip the context from McCain's.
        THAT'S why I stand by my statement that it's a double standard!

        Drop, my reason is because it is what good Americans do. We may not agree by defend the right to express themselves. Had he said, the Oklahoma bombing was the way, then we have a problem. Remember the Flag Burning flap during Viet Nam? America is still standing, isn't it. Reverend Wright made a conditional statement, for your information. The condition was that if America didn't get it right, then the obvious, don't expect God to Bless America, which is biblical, not to lie or deceive yourself but God Damn America.     If you listen to the sermon he was warning his congregation about the dangers of seeking revenge. The chickens coming home to roost was a quote from an ambassador being made to Fox news the day after 9/11.

    Political commentary? That's more of a "you reap what you sow" type of thing - which IS a Biblical reference. As in, "They will be known by the fruits of their labors."
    So to take his SERMON & try to force it into a political discrediting of a candidate WHO DIDN'T EVEN DELIVER THE SERMON is just STOOOOPID!!!!!
