    AIR:

When Wright's words were challenged in a Hannity and Colmes interview, he laid claim to the theological legacy of a black seminary professor by the name of James Cone, who wrote:

"Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy."

That is unbridled hatred, bigotry, and racism. And nobody's grandmother who's scared of an annoying black panhandler is going to change that.

    You face two problems.

    1. Reality is not optional.

    2. Words have meaning.

You want play-doh, go to Toys-R-Us.

"Was this before or after he cursed America?"

      http://humor.propeller.com/story/2008/04/27/jon...

"John Hagee, whose endorsement McCain accepted, said "New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God." Apparently, Hagee's God doesn't "Damn America" like Jeremiah Wright's God does; Hagee's God just destroys the parts of America he doesn't like."

Let's not forget that Wright also served in the armed forces. In fact, his goddaughter just recently deployed to Iraq.

      http://cbs11tv.com/campaign08/wright.black.chur...

"My goddaughter's unit just arrived in Iraq this week while those who call me unpatriotic have used their positions of privilege to avoid military service while sending over 4,000 American boys and girls to die over a lie," Wright said."

McCain didn't attend Hagee's church for 20 years. Wright's god daughter? That makes her...not related to him. It's like saying that his neighbor got deployed.

It's official. You're clearly illiterate. Let me say it again: Jeremiah Wright HIMSELF is a Vietnam War veteran. Upon completing his service and returning home, he was denied equal rights and liberties -- the very American rights and liberties he thought he had been fighting for when he served in Vietnam.

While I can't condone everything Wright has said, I can understand his frustration and anger. When was the last time YOU gave your life fighting for freedoms that were denied to you upon YOUR return home?

Ah, I love the return of the "Swifties". Is America dumbed down enought to believe their tripe? Again?

Obviously 28% of them sure are.

              Georgia,

What you fail to realize w/comments like Wright's "That is unbridled hatred, bigotry, and racism" is that IT'S AN INTEGRATED CHURCH!!!! One of his mentors happens to be White.

Try to find the Bill Moyers interview w/Wright from a couple of nights ago. It should open your eyes a bit.

I just thought this needed to be repeated.

Exactly WHY does it bear repeating? The man got him the job at that parish specifically to help integrate it. Apparently none of Wright's White members had a problem w/the sermon - the WHOLE sermon, not just the part blown way out of proportion. Apparently they didn't find his comments racist.

Churches that don't preach divisvness usually don't have to hire people to help them integrate.

It was a predominantly Black church in an integrated community. Wright was brought in to help integrate it.

The divisiveness isn't coming from Wright, who integrated the church. It's coming from those who didn't hear the sermon & are just taking bits & pieces to support their claims of his "unpatriotic" behavior.
