I thought John Wayne was great, well, the characters he played. And, Charles Bronson was fun. But, Bronson should have just stuck with that FIRST "Death Wish" because all the others that followed were so stupid. It seemed that the more he made, the more brain-dead they become.

Absolutely, Charles Bronson - as you said Deathwish, but don't forget the Dirty Dozen, the Battle of the Bulge and Mr. Majestic.

Or "The Mechanic", "Hard Times" and "From Noon Till Three" (a weird dark/comedy).

"From Noon to Three" was very dark, and very funny.

Speaking of the "Dirty Dozen" I always thought Lee Marvin was a pretty tough guy.

Also, add Jack Palance to the list.

What was that movie set in Canada during the early 1900s? Bronson played an outlaw being chased by a posse led by Lee Marvin. I liked that movie. Actually, I liked the White Buffalo also. Maybe that Buffalo should be in the running?
