She is certainly going to receive a lot of flack for this, but it would make a hell of an interesting story as the subject of a movie. A reporter in love with one of her subjects..interesting. The power of human emotion over logic and duty lol.
Very interesting to see this story come out, particularly from Walters herself.

My goodness! Adultery in high places! "Crossing the color line!" A retarded sister! Silence Broken After All These Years!
You'll forgive me if this "revelation" seems to me yet one more bubble in the ongoing soap opera (Oprah?) of one of the High Priestesses thereof.
Once upon a time, BW was an actual, well respected reporter. But it all devolves, doesn't it?
Doesn't it?

That's just what I need after eating a fine meal. Reading this and having an image of Babs doing the naughty burned into my minds eye.
Gosh Barbara, sometimes secrets are best kept secrets, now you have forced a few million others to share in the ownership of your seedy side of your life, including me. I want you to find my number or come over sometime, I can 'share' a few tidbits from my past with you. They would titillate you to no end.

My mistake. When I said "been there, done that" I really was not referring to myself. I was actually referring to scandals involving hypocrite Republican US Congressmen who trumpet themselves as champions of family values.
I would never ever touch a black snake with a 10' pole.

Not to go PC on y'all, but many of these posts are:
sexist
racist
ageist...
Have I left anything out? But perhaps the truer truth is that, as soon as ol' demon sex is mentioned, we react in terms of our most basic appetites/fears, as in:
"Who cares who she's sleeping with?"
"I'd do her now" (as if anyone asked you)
"These revelations are just plain disturbing"
"So Barbara Walters is a man"
"Well, she could not resist a 10" black snake"
"Isn't she Linda Lovelace's 2nd cousin?"
"Having an affair at her current age makes every muscle in my body cringe as a cold chill runs down my spine"
"Geraldo said he banged her a long time ago as well"....
Have I made my point?

You've made "your" point. I think other peoples' points center around the ethical and moral question regarding her not only sleeping with a married man, or having an affair of some sort, but then talking about it in public. Both actions have serious social and intra-personal consequences.

LOL that you're with the PC police? Look she brought it to our attention,,, not one person here asked to know about this..... our reaction to it was levity or disgust because that's how humans react to uncomfortable situations, and believe me, the picture it put in my mind's eye made me very uncomfortable and I will never forgive the tramp for making me see her that way.
I guess if we all started singing Jungle love and telling her way to go Babs that would be ok?
