Rewriting history again. He outspent them on defense. Remember the liberals spoofing it calling it Star Wars? That technology worked and the Soviets knew it would. They collapsed because they spent themselves out of money trying to compete.

    That was one problem. The other bigger one was trying to keep up with "Star Wars" as the Liberals called it. They said it would never work but it is part of our defensive armament now. It has been demonstrated several times.
