I think they killed him, he realized that this was all BS and wanted out. Imagine the poster boy saying this war is bogus. There would be dissenting voices that could dwarf his out. After all he left millions on the table to go to fight the so call terrorist of 9/11. What if he threaten to expose them for the liars we all know them to be now? That would be the difference between a few billion and trillions.

Wasn't it a horse named Boxer, that was used, and then carted off to the glue factory, in the story, "Animal Farm"? Later Boxer became a poster boy for the 'cause'.
The story allegedly was an allegorical account of the Marxist revolutions in the early 20th century, but doesn't the present stink of the same manure?
Remember..."All animals are created equal".
Later being ammended with..."Some animals are more equal than others"!
Lies, and more lies...who cares? Have another beer, and change the channel. I think the "play-offs" are on.

My understanding was that Pat Tillman had been sent to Iraq after being in Afghanistan but told them that he didn't sign up to fight there. He said that he wasn't going to stay there and fight innocent people. He requested to be sent back to Afghanistan. Since he was still being used as a poster boy the administration saw this as a rebellion.He was used in life and his death. I am sure that his death was not a coincidence and that he was shot by not so friendly fire.This administration is evil and at the very least they were complicit in the attacks of 9/11. IT WAS AN INSIDE JOB!!!!!

That is repulsive. To say that our soldiers purposely killed another soldier.
It's one thing to say that the Administration made him a "poster boy for the cause" by exploiting his death. It's something completely different to say that they had a soldier do it!
Go back to your home on fantasy island.
The fact that you think the government pulled off 9/11 shows your stupidity.
Yes...Bush and Cheney single-handedly pulled off 9/11, the biggest conspiracy EVER, without a SINGLE leak but were unable to plant WMD's in Iraq after the invasion.

rightfromwrong...As in most things, I believe the answers fall somewhere in the middle. Still, there are so many that maintain the belief that: "It can't happen here"!
Any fledgling student of history or human nature, would have to acknowledge the opposite, that not only can it...it has.

Yeah...you guys got it.
Every single soldier that has died was really killed by friendly fire because they wanted to vote Democrat...just like Keith Olberman said on air, Bush killed Tillman because he was going to vote for Kerry.
Since we are using our military to kill all of the dissenters, its amazing you haven't been drafted and killed by friendly fire yet.

djrevelky, I didn't read anything about our troops deliberately killing our own. Besides, that would be a "Company" job. Were there not CIA agents in the field? Are therer not now?
Our uberpatriots (CIA) make every soldier nervous. Ever read about the political (or party) officers in the Soviet or German Armies? Do you think we don't employ similar offices? Wake up and smell the cordite!

This government has lied about WMD's, Anthrax, Jessica Lynch, and now Pat Tilman. I feel for his family. Here was a star football player who felt a duty to serve his (lying) country and they killed him. I once read, in covering up his death that his uniform was destroyed.

9/11 was an inside job!!!!! If you watch 911 Mysteries and Loose change you will see that is was an inside job. How does a building fall in 10 seconds that is reinforced by steel in the middle? In 10 seconds and into the basement? Obviously the concrete pillars were blown out as witnesses have said. Oh and by the way a Jewish guy just happen to have a clause concerning a "terrorist attack "put into his insurance 6 months before and made a cool $2,000,000,000.
Another coincidence?????? Call me an anti-semitic but in reality I am a "truth sayer" not blinded by prejudice.

I'm amazed that an atheist, like Tilman, would have the nards fight in ANY war, when they feel that THIS life is the only one they will be living. Of course, the Soviets were atheists, and, they invaded Afghanistan, to name just a few.

there's more than a couple 'atheist outlooks'
one is that if this is the only life we get its extra precious
another is it's just a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing
I'm in the second clan, but there's plenty in the first
and sometimes atheists don't really want it to signify nothing, and want to give it meaning thru acts like signing up for the military in 'war' time
