Roger Clemens issued his first public statement since a report surfaced last week that he had a 10-year relationship with country singing star Mindy McCready and relationships with other women, the Houston Chronicle reported Sunday.

    he should apologize for the 28 mil he took from the Yankees last year to deliver a .500 season........and no I am not a Yankee fan..........

    Well I am, and you're absolutely RIGHT! Clemens lied when he was ostensibly retiring from baseball, and the Yankees organization a while back, but signs up right afterwards with the Texas Rangers...he should've been in politics! He talks out of two sides of his mouth!

      When you screw up as much as Clemens has, I suppose a generic apology would be the most efficient way to cover all bases. An American sports idol this guy coulda been but ain't.

        It's not easy to say that you're sorry for committing statutory rape. Didn't Roman Polanski have to leave the country because of this?
