Another liberal blaming the USA! If we are so bad, why do they all want to come live here? Maybe it's not a gleaming infrastructure people want, but a tradition of freedom and democracy? We might be a backward Christian nation that needs no more science than is included in the Bible, but at least we are free. Maybe the ever expanding economy is not what we need but a simpler life, with women taking care of the home and children and men bringing home the bacon. Let the foreigners in our midst make the desparate effort to learn math and science and come up with the technological advancements that do nothing to improve our real lives. Let the Chinese pollute their environment in a mad rush to progress. We've been there, done that. Are we really better off than we were in the old days?
