You want to know why our country is so messed up? People let a buffoon like Rush Limbaugh on to the radiowaves.

It's amazing that a fat drug dealer and addict who used to ridicule recovering addicts and alcoholics has such a large following. Scary...

Sorry jovial I meant a pos not a neg!
This guy should not be on Air, but the SEC head is a GOPer and you know how they feel about each other. They are never wrong and never really mean what they say. This guy is a disgrace, had a DEM call for riots the right of this nation would have done everything to have his nuts and he would have been Call the biggest Anti American since Obama!

This drugged up, meglomaniacal, bag of stale air, Limburger, has used racial slurs against mayors before - His favorite euphemism for the then mayor of NYC, David Dinkins was " the men's room attendant" - I don't think Dinkins ever responded , since it's not really neccessary to engage a fool.
Ditto head = airhead

Limbaugh's a bigoted idiot, but he'll never get the Imus treatment. Shock is what his flock of sheep need.
The truth is 'liberal' and he's just a poor underdog, victimized by the world.

There are some real idiots out there...I think Villaraigosa would be better off ignoring the comments. Its risky to get involved in a shouting contest with someone like Limbaugh, Limbaugh has nothing to lose from this situation, if anything it would give his ratings a boost. Villaraigosa on the other has to be careful what he says, as we all know every word that comes out of a politicians mouth is important.

Good point, there is a risk. The right wing will try to turn anything the Mayor says around to make Limbaugh look lik the victim here. What's really funny about this story is that at the same time McCain is trying to reach out to latino voters, this buffoon makes a statement like that. Maybe Limbaugh wants to harpoon the efforts of McCain. Actually, the harpoon needs to land solidly in his lardish butt.

...basically it's a Catch-22 for the Mayor...if he ignores it, the NeoConArtist noise machine would blast that if Villaraigosa won't say anything, then The Oxycontyn Kid is right...If he blasts back; it's all about Latinos and their unstable tempers...and when he makes a carefully prepared statement...it'll probably be "Why didn't he just say so"???

Careful about your stereotyping - it's too Limbaugh-like. Very PIC (politically incorrect) and insensitive.

I caught a few minutes of Rush today, this man makes snake oil salemen look like decent people, he was going on about his run in with Bill Clinton and the L.A. mayor and all I could do was shake my head. It seemed his biggest worry was that Bill was hitting on his date. This man is not interested in politics or his country this man is only concerned about himself, he as the leader of the campaing of chaos declared to day that he had won and was calling off the troops, this man truely has an overly active imagination.
They keep saying about the size of his listening audience and I hope that those who listen to him every day are doing so for comedy reasons because if not I seriously must question my opinion of the American Public.

Funny stuff, here, really. Canadian, do you ever stop to wonder who listens to Rush? For someone who despises Rush, you are part of the reason he is still on the air. By taking the time to "catach a few minutes" of listening to him, you have increased his marketshare, and his paycheck. But you denounce anyone who listens to him that they should only do so for the comedic portion.
Let me state this real slow, so you understand. Rush makes money, and increases his marketshare, when people like you listen to him. It doesn't matter whether you despise him or not. It only matters that you listened, and listen you did. So if you think Rush should not be on the air, you have only yourself to blame.

canadian - I listen to Rush over any other program when I happen to be driving - about every other day for 10-15 minutes. I find him unusually entertaining. Unlike most of the opinionators here, I have an ability to take some things with a grain of salt i.e. I have a brain that works and no fear of what radio show hosts say. He brings out many news items not heard elsewhere and has a great sense of humor- you and all the libs here don't. You can only wish he was on your side.

Judging from the razor thin victory Hillary "may" have eked out in Indiana and the fact that it is an open primary where a huge number of registered Republicans crossed over to vote for her in the Democratic race, you can guess that Rush ditto heads gave Hillary a narrow win in what would have otherwise been a second blowout victory for Obama.
As sacred as the election process here is, the thought that Rush Limbaugh would advocate deliberately trying to throw elections and that any percentage of Americans would go along with that idea is truly Repugnant.
It throws a spotlight on the idiotic liberal/conservative war that we must end if we are to remain a UNITED States of America. In his lust for attention and audience, Rush is perfectly willing to destroy the country which has so richly blessed him.

I would tend to agree with your statement. It is pitiful that Limbaugh would do this. I can understand the desire to sow discontent with the Democrats (from Rush's point of view), but this does seem to go overboard.
I don't necessarily agree with your later post about how it was ok for Democrats to do similar in NH. Very few people would actually think of this sort of thing on their own so it was (I strongly suspect) a movement. You could call it grassroots movement, but it almost certainly had organizers. And the media repeating it over and over in what sounded like exhortation to get people to do it also does not sound like a personal decision.
Essentially, the media on both sides are driving the election and many on both sides are just going along with whatever they are spoon fed. Hopefully a couple will wake up before the end of Democracy. We will see.

Personally don't care for the mayor. His affair and the way he handled it showed me what kind of man he is.
Still slimeball Limpaw should not attack a man based on racial lines.
He slimeball try looking in the mirror sober. You might just lighten up on everyone else and work on yourself.

it is funny to me that here at Libscape this hole string of posts consist of calling Limbaugh names, the problem is that 20 million plus people per week listen to him. I would say that the opinions here are really in the minority and Mr. 250 Million $ gets the last laugh. As far as calling the Mayor a sho shine boy, if you read the quote he didn't even know who he was, I believe he was inferring that Clinton was trolling the club scene as usual with what looked like his assistant, who would do most anything asked.

The slimy rhetoric from the libs here is what you can expect from them when they get together. It's name calling and who can outdo the other with nasty characterizations rather than substantive, factual replies to the subject at hand. They should learn from Limbaugh about using facts to make their case, not nasty references about fecal matter on his lips, drug dealing, etc. They outdo Limbaugh big time when it comes to name calling. I'm so glad the candidates are not like their supporters (here on propeller)in this election.

He deserves every name that he gets. Conservatives whine about Wright bilking money out of the community and living in a mansion, but he does good for his parishioners and poor people. What does windbag do? Continually attack and put down politicians that are trying to help Americans. Put down leaders ethnic role models to somehow get a cheap joke or make himself appear to be better than people of color. For you to sit there and protect this a$$-hole speaks reams about your character.

Limbaugh is a great American and talk show host. I will listen to him tomorrow to see how I should respond to all you libs here on propeller.
I don't see that the Indiana and NC votes were much affected by Chaos. Hillary was predicted to win Indiana handily and Obama had NC, with its large black population, in the bag.

If you libs get a man as good as Limbaugh on talk radio I'll listen to him and help his ratings. And I won't try to get him banned from the airwaves or try to get the "Fairness Doctrine" dredged up again. I can figure out whether what he says is true. If I don't agree then I can decide for myself and not get all upset about it. The PC rules in America are just getting to be too much. I'm really sick of it. I don't know what to call people of color or lack thereof anymore. Maybe just "Americans" (if they're a citizen). I heard a white guy at work called a honky blue eyed devil by a black guy. He said "thank you". Now that's a good attitude.

He supports the war, not necessarily the troops. There is a significant difference.
Supporting the war in Iraq cannot, in any possible way, be considered conservative.

The libs have been knocked around all week or longer with stories about Rev Wright, etc., and they're mad. They found this no story and ran with it and it doesn't matter to them that it's dumb, goofy and silly it's all they've got. All they want to do is call folks names after all they really never have anything else to contribute anyway.

How many times has Limbaugh told this story? I have heard it at least three times and I bet it has been told more than that. Did the mayor comment on it before? This is just more muckraking.
And what about the fact that he first thought he was Secret Service? He puts the mayor at two ends of the working spectrum. He doesn't even mention the mayor's race; the muckrakers did that! The point is, Limbaugh didn't know who the guy was and he could have been anyone associated with Clinton. The race factor is moot, unless you just hate Limbaugh or you are a lawyer in the Democratic party.

Me? I'm just gonna sit back and watch all the zombies who rallied to neutralize the Rev. Wright's hate screed, then dismissed his 20 plus year association with B. Hussein, as they get all discombobulated over a passing remark by their arch enemy, Rush.
And when you zombies get done, we'll be waiting for an explanation as to why you're all lathered up about the shoe shine reference while ignoring the secret service reference. Do try and have your story ironed out by then, k?

Well, it beats the mindless continual support of the Bush admin and his cronies, like Rush.
No one complains about the association McCain has - and HAS had - with supposed preachers who make hateful and racist statements, like John Hagee and Pat Robertson and Rod Parsley.
Obama is vilified for an association with someone who's "inflammatory" statements were seven years old and taken out of context, while the media ignores all of the past and current inflammatory statements from McCain's preacher buddies about New Orleans, women, gays, and the Catholic church. The very SAME "hate screed" as you call it.
