Wolfie, the repubs are scared of Obama, which is exactly why Rush has been trying to get repubs to register/vote as dems for the primary and get Hillary nominated so McCain would stand a better chance in the general. Where have you been? Maybe you need to clean your ears, wake up occasionally or dig your head out of the sand. You're as out of touch as McCain.

Are you comfortable with the way things are right now?
Frankly, if i thought i would have to spend another 4 years with the way things are right now, i may sell out and move to Canada or South America.
Nothing, and i mean nothing can be any worse than putting up with a man who conspired with his brother to steal the Fla delegates in 2000, and subsequently have himself "appointed" president, only to take us down the toilet. After this fiasco, nothing any politician does scares me, we've been through the worst.

NTN you said-
Are you comfortable with the way things are right now?
If that is in response to my comment about being scared of Obama - you must be blind-
Did you ever see me post anything that was in the least bit supportive of Bush? Don't think so.
As I have stated many times I support Hilary & would sleep much better knowing she was there for that overworked phonecall

Funny you should mention Florida. History repeats itself ...except now we can add Michigan to the list too. If I'm a democrat in either of those states ...my vote is going to count!!! As a citizen on this country ...my vote is not a privilge ...it is a right!!!

ace,
Well, all I can say is that I wish you would give the populist a chance before dissing him.
His heart and mind are in the right place, and if elected, it will come down to his leadership skills. We know/believe Hillary can get things down, but the doubt with her comes in not knowing if her heart and mind are in the right place. She voted for the war, attacked Obama over total BS non-issues, and now is caving in to reward the oil companies with a summer-time gouge handout. At the same time, she is doing the right thing in pushing for a windfall profits tax. Her positions are all over.
Same with healthcare. Thats not universal healthcare, thats univeral insurance, which will be a boon to the insurance companies but wont do a thing to reel in costs. Insurance companies add roughly 25% more onto the costs of medical care over medicare.
Hillary is ok, but Obama is great!

On the contrary, Barack Obama will win in a landslide against John McCain.
Georgia, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi...Obama won every southern state except Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee with the Texas vote barely going to Hillary Clinton and the caucuses going to Obama.
All the "blue" states that went to Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004 will most certainly also go to Obama. But so could many of these southern states.

Aceofspades, I am serious about this,... I feel your pain. You like I, are emotionally invested in your candidate as well as simply in agreement with stated policy. I was outraged at some of the tactics used by her campaign strategists a while ago as you know (We exchanged P.M.s about it). But have stated since that I would support Senator Clinton if she were to be the nominee. Why? because their stated policies are 90% identical.
Differences are in Foreign Policy, and health care approaches (re- healthcare-not terribly different, nuances.)
As a local councilman said to me, "frankly the policy is that of the Democratic party espoused by both of them, it doesn't matter to me which one carries the torch".

Since both economic policy statements are in fact identical, I'm not sure Obama can be blamed if we can't afford to power our computers in 2 years. Though the republican economic policies certainly can. I have a preference over who carries the torch as do you, but getting that torch delivered is far more important than who carries it.
(Hey, the guy who drives the garbage truck has a made in China flag pin on!)
No matter what personal beliefs anyone has about the candidates, in the end, who will allow McCain to carry on the demonstrated failures of the past? Who would do this?
Best wishes,
Radio

Hi Radio,
Miss seeing the rest of the guys here ...regardless of the DNC candidate the choice has to be the Democratic Party winning the presidential race.
But I truly believe from my military experiences & the missions under POTUS #42, that the Cabinet they assembled was second to none in the history of the United States. As a CEO with a successful international company, experience has shown that it's the staff that determines the successful achievement of company goals.
In brief, looking at both teams ...the one that shows experience to cope with the current & near future environment would have to be the Clinton party. Logic dictates that the Clinton configuration is the only one that can show that it has a former star player on board, who has actually been there & done it.

Tiredofwhiners said "Obama is as presidential as my shoeshine boy".
That is not a racist remark.
It is a deep, pathetic whine about unfairness.
A young black person gets to be a Senator, a best-selling author, a grammy winner, the center of a politcal movement?
Some people have all the luck.
Even Obama's shoes are shinier.

Ase - are you saying that Obama, who is going to be president will do a bad job at it? You sound like the GOPers before Clinton took office in 96. I think Obama will be as much a president if not better! I think like most people who are against a candidate, you tend not to listen to them and you jump on the negatives. I happen to have a good vantage point when it comes to Clinton and Obama, because I like them both and I am not pining for a woman or a black person being president, I am for the person that will make the best president. Based on what I have seen Obama will, take his willingness to stand against the gas tax relief, it shows me a person that is willing to see a mistake and call it that, not try to spin it, and I don't see that with the others. We will get the truth from this guy and he will cross party lines to get things done! I am no longer thinking with emotions I am using my head!

What has Bush stood for, do you even know, does anyone? The only thing i have seen that he has done is killed many innocents in Iraq and been responsible for the deaths of many American troops, all the while padding his pockets and those of his political cronies. NO ONE COULD BE ANY WORSE!

Klarissa - You have no damn interest in what Obama stands for, If you did you would have known by now since I have answer this same question for you 4 times now, and yet you ask it again. Your interest is, is there more dirt. I also told you this, when he ran for state office his opponent who is part of his campaign now spent 29 million trying to get some dirt on him, AND TRUST ME Clinton TRIED. One of your buddies on this very post just shredded his 65 page post on his website about what he stands for go there read it. Your frustration comes from your inability to define him not your thirst for knowledge.
