Well you know , religion is a hot topic . I say funding is good for all if it is not discriminatory . Everyone should get it . Yes , and what about the atheists . How would they apply since there is no religious affiliation , except denial . Should atheisim be considered a religion - the non-belief in a higher power ? How would that work ? Oh , and agnostics ? What do you all out there in cyber space think ?

      The BIG contributors are un-religious.

The BIG contributors are only looking for a payback after the election.

When a religious group makes it to the status of the contributions of the BIG ontributors, they too can get their payback.

Note how well the White-Hous... office has been well funded under Mr. Bush, even though they burn money with no demonstrable benefit to the public.

The First Amendment of the United States Constitution states, regarding religion. "Congress shall make no law excepting religion or the free expression thereof."

Nothing about "separation of church and state".

I was flying blind as I was using my memory but it's the same thing, mntnman44. Thanks for all your help. Still no mention of separation of church and state now is there?

This is funny. It has to be humor. I looked at the top of the page and it said "Rocket scientist financial tips".

Who in their right mind would go to a Rocket scientist for financial information. I guess the same people that would let financiers build rockets.

      ROTFLMAO

If we can keep No Child Left Behind in place a bit longer, we can shut down public education altogether and outsource all education to the Government's preferred churches -- that would be ones that turn out reliable voters for the ruling party. Theocracy, here we come.

Would the current candidates for Mr. Bush's job continue the federal government's legacy of mixing church and state? Would they keep, restructure or dissolve the Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives?

When asked this question by Christianity Today

To see the answers by the 3 candidates you can read the stiry here:

        http://katestone.wordpress.com/

        This is interesting:

Under its Minority Community Health Coalition Demonstration Grant Program for HIV/AIDS, HHS' Office of Minority Health has made grants to faith-based organizations participating in the Impacto Latino Coalition Project. This project addresses the need for effective prevention programming to change community norms and increase community support for behaviors known to reduce the risk of HIV infection among Latino New Yorkers. The Latino Commission on AIDS, VIP Community Services and five churches are joining together as a coalition to address HIV/AIDS in the Latino community.

he grant program has also provided funds to the South Side HIV/AIDS Coalition in Chicago, a multi-agency group including Trinity United Church of Christ, Provident Hospital of Cook County and the Alliance for Community Empowerment, to provide culturally sensitive and responsive HIV/AIDS education and services to African-American

Trinity United Church of Christ - seems like I've heard about this church before

            Religion:

            Cost of product = zero

            Return on investment = infinite.

Harm to society = majority of all death and torture.

              Garbage.

Harm to society is humanity's failing, not solely religion's. All one has to do is look to Maoist China, a decidedly atheist and anti-religious movement responsible for millions upon millions of deaths.

Time out for a moment to consider the single comment apparently left by Luvmyprez, late of Propeller, see the, er, bottom (this pun will become clear) of the article.

                Several questions arise:

                Did she ACTUALLY post it?

Is, as I've long suspected, Alpha G. Luv with a new nom de post?

                All replies considered.
