Not so long ago the Church of Global Warming advocates here Aidenag, I think - posted as story about March being the warmest on record (but not in the U.S.) and cited it as proof of global warming.

But now here is the NOAA saying April was a full degree cooler in the U.S. than the average temperature for the entire 20th Century ...

    http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/research/ca...

So, does this prove global cooling? Keep in mind, South Dakota was hit with a May blizzard just last week. Don't be surprised if May comes out just as cool.

Now the glow bull warmers are saying it's going to cool off for a few years, 10 to 12, before it warms up again. This, they say is just a natural cycle. How odd a natural cycle that cools and here I thought it was us, humans, who were causing the warming now it's cooling and it's a natural cycle.

Is it me or are they confused, I know I am. LMAO

    Take notes on dates

I'm certain they will be claiming the volcano in Chile is distorting the temperature

If you haven't seen the pictures National Geographic has some great ones

This is U.S. data, NOT global data.

Suspect that this means the same thing that the warming data did--another blip in whatever the secular trend is.

That having been said, this is the first relatively normal winter for maybe 5-6 years around here. Not particularly cold, but it was looong. No weird spikes--last year it went up to 70 for over a week, then frosted and killed all sorts of stuff.

Maybe the ground hog has more power than what we think.

Today is May the 10th and as iI sit here and look around my yard I see a hint of green but if I look at the trees there are none that have leaves on them of yet. The temperature this morning is about 25F so it was another night with frost. Yesterday while picking up seed a few farmers where commenting that the temps were more like the 20th of April and are questioning what type of crop we might get if we don't see warmer temps soon. I'm not going to make any comment on global warming or cooling but could someone turn up the temperature shortly, I don't like wearing my woolies in May.

i agree that the climate is changing. warming doesn't seem, to me, to be the biggest threat. it is more the "extreme" weather that posses a threat. sunami's, huricaines, and tornado's. westren canada hss been experiencing major snow storms.

i saw gore's movie. i thought it was interesting. i am NOT sending him my son's college fund, to save the world. and i don't expect anyone else to either.

but, i am carful about the products i buy. and i'd recycle my butt.(if i wasn't going to need it in the next few days).

but, for april to have been cooler than "average" is a 50/50 chance.

Gullible Warning (Global Warming) causes Global Cooling , Ice caps melt cooling the Oceans thus causing more cooler weather , ergo the cooler weather is caused by Gullible Warning (Global Warming).

What pray tell is the difference in Gullible Warning (Global Warming) and Climate Change , different words , it is all B.S. .

Keep your stick on the Ice !

of course there will be fluctuations. but the fact remains that spring is starting earlier and fall is ending later worldwide. and the poles are where the most dramatic changes are taking place. this winter was the hottest winter ever in the arctic:

Gore started this whole mess by claiming that the CO2 from our vehicles were "warming" the planet because CO2 is a "greenhouse" gas that holds in heat.

Now it comes around to global change and his premise is wiped out. What are we doing that causes cooling?

Gore is a "shoot from the hip" agitator that has put his foot in it many times. To claim knowledge of what the climate will look like in a 100 years is incredibly naive.

                      He's not that smart ...
