Building the world's largest bureaucracy is a major undertaking and therein lies the power, both political and economic.
This administration has built its own strength on the laurels of fear.
Of course there is no war on terror - terror is a concept, an intangible , unkillable, unwinable concept. But you get enough people to look the other way while you "protect" them and they dont care HOW BIG of a government you build. (Although gubment dont work!)
The war on terror is a foolish gambit that a frightened populace has hidden behind while the administration has bankrupt (morally and literally) our nation.

What should we do about the Israelis that helped the zionist traitors in planning to kill americans in wars in the mideast (viz Netanyahu and "Clean Break")?
Clean Break or Dirty War? Israel's Foreign Policy Directive to the United States
... Great changes are seldom achieved without a plan. The Israeli policy paper "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm" (ACB) was authored by a group of policy advisors to Israel. Subsequently, nearly all members ascended to influential policy making positions within U.S. government, media, and academic circles. Many of the ACB policies such as toppling the government of Iraq are now in full implementation ...

Hype,
I think that you have a lot of good contributions to make on these stories, but i feel that you might be laying the Zionist thing on a little too heavy. We can acknowledge that there has been a lot of wrong done by many countries including the U.S. I think that singling out Israel as the cause of all the problems is not fair. There's plenty enough blame to go everywhere. It also alienates you from other propeller members. You seem to be extremely knowledgeable on a lot of subjects in world politics. So it's a shame that the information that you sometimes share is lost, because the way you present it is abrasive to some.

Not nearly heavily enough. We have too many zionist traitors in our government and need to root them out. This is nothing to do with "anti-semitism" - jewish authors are amongst the loudest in condemning the zionist crimes in america.
JEWISH WRITERS CLAIM POWERFUL ZIONISTS DROVE USA INTO MID-EAST WAR FOR SAKE OF ISRAEL
Joe Klein, Time Magazine, Time.com, February 5, 2003
"A stronger Israel is very much embedded in the rationale for war with Iraq. It is a part of the argument that dare not speak its name, a fantasy quietly cherished by the neo-conservative faction in the Bush Administration and by many leaders of the American Jewish community....

... The lack of public discussion about the role of Israel in the thinking of "President Bush" is easier to understand, but weird nevertheless. It is the proverbial elephant in the room: Everybody sees it, no one mentions it. The reason is obvious and admirable: Neither supporters nor opponents of a war against Iraq wish to evoke the classic anti-Semitic image of the king's Jewish advisers whispering poison into his ear and betraying the country to foreign interests....

"In 1996, as Likud Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepared to take office, eight Jewish neoconservative leaders sent him a six-page memo outlining an aggressive vision of government. At the top of their list was overthrowing Saddam and replacing him with a monarch under the control of Jordan.... Lead writer of the memo was Perle. Other signatories were Feith, now undersecretary of defense, and Wurmser, a senior adviser to John Bolton, undersecretary of state....

"Dear friends,
They say that a picture is worth 1000 words. We believe that the following photographs demonstrates vividly the moral issues facing Israeli troops when confronting armed Palestinian gunmen taking refuge among children and civilians. When taking into consideration this terrorist tactic -- operating from within civilian population -- one can only appreciate the relatively low Palestinian civilian casualty rate caused by IDF soldiers.
Look at the photographs. Read the original captions. Examine the environment. See the civilians."

"Palestinian children are taught to hate Jews, to glorify "jihad" (holy war), violence, death and child martyrdom almost from birth, as an essential part of their culture and destiny.
children's program called the "Children's Club" -- complete with puppet shows, songs, Mickey Mouse and other characters -- focused on inculcating intense hatred of Jews and a passion for engaging in and celebrating violence against them in a perpetual "jihad" until the day the Israeli flags come down from above "Palestinian land" and the Palestinian flag is raised.
Palestinian children throwing rocks at an Israeli military vehicle.
In one song on the "Children's Club," very young children are shown singing songs about wanting to become "suicide warriors" and to take up "a machine gun" to direct "violence, anger, anger, anger" against Israelis.

Shouldn't poor old Hyper join with the good and righteous and denounce of the use of children by Palestinian terrorists. Poor old Hyper still sees violence and using kids as weapons as a viable solution. Pity poor old Hyper.
"(New York, November 3, 2004) -- Palestinian armed groups should immediately end all use of children in military attacks, Human Rights Watch said today, following a Tel Aviv suicide bombing by a 16-year-old that killed three Israeli civilians Monday.
" Any attack on civilians is prohibited by international law, but using children for suicide attacks is particularly egregious. Palestinian armed groups must clearly and publicly condemn all use of children under the age of 18 for military activities, and make sure these policies are carried out. "

Hyperbola is absolutely right.
It was Netenyahu who said that "Terrorism is appropriate for the goals of Israel."
Zionism is ruining America, and it gets worse every day.
Why are we protecting Israel. Ron Paul is right. Let them fight their own battles. We don't need to send over America's teens and our taxpayer money for Israel. They have done NOTHING for the USA. Except whine and gripe. And now they want all their foreign aid in Euros. Screw those nasty arrogant pricks.

How do you reconcile your statements with the following facts?
If American Jews had their way GWB would not have been elected in 2000 or 2004. American Jews were against the Iraq War. American Jews vote Democratic. GWB had an enormous advantage in the Christian vote. Evangelicals put GWB in office.

Why do you think Jews put Bush in office?
You might want to rethink your belief about Jews putting Bush in the Whitehouse, three out of hour Jews voted against Bush. Protestants and white Catholics put Bush in office. Also, don't forget what a slim portion of the population Jews are.

The militant right wingers of the Israeli govt. and the militant rightwingers in the U.S. have indeed colluded. As Walden points out American Jews overwhelmingly are anti neocons. Hyperbola's comments are usually well researched, I think the terminology is the issue, if we were to substitute radical militant rightwingers for Zionists, there probably wouldn't be much argument.

There seems to me to be a much darker side to this.
Many things must happen for the evil that is to come.
By doing what they are doing it would seem the Bush administration is actually building more hatred of Israel.
There is less acceptance of the rights of nations to determine their own destinies. They are forcing unions of nations that would not normally unite.
This can only lead to higher tensions and wars.
It seems as though Bush and his minnions want to force WW III into happening.
Remember that Judas Iscariot thought he was doing the right thing by turning Jesus over. He thought Jesus would use his power to save himself and and claim the title of King.
It seems that Bush and the clowns are trying the same tactics to force the hand of God to act.
Idiots!!!! I wonder if they know how terrible those times are going to be. Worse than any war known to man before.
I do not care for these so called Christians.

Isn't this what the "left-behinders" like Hagee and Bush want to happen? Isn't it their theory that Israel must be destroyed to bring about the end times? I forget what insanity they spew in the name of Christ.

I know what you mean, cowboygrandpa. The Bible tells Christians to watch for signs of the Second Coming, but, to not hasten it about. It threatens hell on those who would TRY to bring it about (I don't have the scripture at hand, but, KNOW that I've either read or heard it). The leader of Iran sounds like he wants to help HIS version of the Messiah come about... through nuking Israel. For some reason, Liberals and those who hate Christians, believe people like Hagee (who are pro-Israel), are MORE dangerous than Ahmadenejad, even though Hagee wouldn't try to hasten the Second Coming, nor could, if he wanted to. Hagee and his followers believe hell is unleashed when they are removed from the earth (raptured). Such a view seems reversed in Islamic escatology. In Islam, Muslims believe Jews will rise up to kill Muslims, and, Allah will help Muslims to kill the Jews (this belief helps keep alienation strong between Jew and Muslim).

--To add another dimension to this discussion, I have to say I don't think it helps our credibility when people look at America today and see that it's still possible to swing major elections by exploiting the shameful racial divide between blacks and whites in our country. Sure, blacks and whites are not killing one another with suicide bombs daily but I'm sure that even the less dramatic signs of a racially divided America don't go unnoticed by the rest of the international community.

Still... the elephant in the middle of the room is the profitteering that the war generates.
Living in a corporate dictatorship is becoming less and less of a secret, because we remain too divided as a nation to stop them and they now flaunt it openly. They do what they please and answer only to themselves.

Fact of the matter is that honest, moral jews are blaming the ZionCons for their lies and treason.
For Israel's Sake, Moderate American Jews Must Find Their Voice
Religion â;; Radical zionist political associations have embraced the most right-wing figures of American politics from Rick Santorum and Trent Lott to Tom DeLay and George Bush - all in the guise of being "pro-Israel." Enough. These extremists don't speak for me or the majority of American jews and they endanger Israel.

Good, honest, pure, righteous Muslims denounce terror. Hyper why won't you join the good, honest, pure and righteous? Why do you believe terrorism is an acceptable method?
"Washington, DC (September 9, 2002) â;; Several prominent American Muslims, organizations, and scholars issued the following statement denouncing violence and terrorism, especially in the name of Islam, a religion of peace and justice.
The statement was issued on the eve of the first anniversary of the tragedy of Sept. 11, and has been signed by 199 prominent American Muslims, and scholars of Islam from all over the world."

Hyper join the good and pure won't you by denouncing terror as a tactic?
"The conference entitled 'Religions Denounce Terrorism' has been successfully accomplished in Istanbul on June 23, 2003. About 200 invited guests, all prominent members of various religious communities and organizations, from a a wide range of countries like Turkey, Russia, Bulgaria, Israel, The United States, Italy or France were present at the meeting. Several Turkish MP's and politicians were also among the audience to set out their views and send a joint message. By stressing the twisted nature of the concept of "terror in the name of religion," the SRF aims both to give an effective reply to a radical and aggressive idea which threatens our world and also, by stressing the shared values of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, to contribute to understanding, tolerance, dialogue and cooperation between the members ..."

Except the article doesn't blame the Jews for 9-11 or call it an inside job.
Feith was on the inside.
Also the actions of the Bush Administration are proof enough that this was the case. Of course some people have alway called the "War on Terror" a rhetorical chant whose aim was to disguise the true intentions of the Bush Administration. This book just confirms it even more.
Impeachment anyone?

When I read the article, I pretty much bypassed anything that wasn't a quote with a link to a reputable news source. Even without the part about the U.S. government allowing 9/11 to happen, there's documented evidence supporting Douglas Feith's claim that the agenda was not to go after al-Qaeda, but to destabilize the Middle East.
Quotes in the article come from Feith's book and the Asia Times. Sources used for the article include Feith, a memo to the president by Rumsfeld, and Wesley Clark. There are also links in the article to the Asia Times and Newsweek.

I think that's part of it. I think part of it too is the making of the unitary executive. They've been able to really chip away at our civil rights too. Making big money for defense contractors. They're had two SCOTUS appointees because Bush got reelected in 04 because of the war in 03 (wouldn't want to change horses in the middle of the stream, even if you are drowning.) The Senate flipped Republican in 02 because of the war drums beating. It helped to establish a FOB in the region and ensure that we'll have tens of thousands there for decades.

Direvelky - did you just wake up? don't you know that every action that has changes the course of history is a conspiracy - I won't enumerate them, but it is evident from all the conspiracy adherents that love this place.
Don't you you know that anti-zionism is not necessarily anti -semitism, but in the hands of cons & liberals alike it can easily become so.
One must be ever vigilant of the machinations of both liberals & conservatives if one & their culture is to survive.
Anyone who denies this is condemned to oblivion.
