Crews and search dogs hunted Sunday for survivors or bodies in piles of debris after tornados and storms rumbled across the region a day earlier and killed at least 22 people in three states.

    Pitcher, OK. Site of the Tar Creek Superfund site.

    Nearly a ghost town now since most of the residents moved away as a result of sicknesses caused by the lead-rich toxic environment.

    Could have been much worse had the residents not moved away.

      May be these cities and towns should "consult" with their Iraqi counterparts about how they deal with such disasters. In one case, it is nature and in other it is US bombing mission of their neighborhoods.

      Both are in the same situation. Their homes and belongings are gone and some family members missing or dead.

      God Help Both.

        The folks that did live in Picher were unable to get home insurance, due to the fact that most of the area sits atop old mines, and there has been speculation that a giant sink hole will appear. These folks have lost everything in this tornado, with no home owners insurance, I do not think they will be allowed to rebuild, even if they could find a way.
