yes, we too have few of our friends (two Americans and one Swedish) in disaster area, but South East of Sichuan, which is provincial capital of Chengdu. Both I and my wife tried to call their cell phone, but no answer. Also, our friend, a senior editor for biggest Chinese Weekly Magazine, here in Beijing, called too a few of his reporters and only on, that was in other province answered... Either all communication has collapsed or ,,, (I will not write about it - we are still in China)...
Let's hope for the best.
