Yeah, but was it added afterwards? I know enough about Photoshop for print and video effects plug-ins for Adobe After Effects and Apple's Final Cut Pro to know this could have been added by a talented individual after the fact, possibly to make Fox look bad.
Who's to say? But having a subliminal message certainly isn't something that should be seen on a network that touts itself as "fair and balanced"!

You really can't give the benefit of doubt to anything associated with Fox News anymore. They've been exposed time and time again as a biased and unbalanced news source for quite some time. And the mindless viewers who continue to watch and believe the shill they broadcast are the same 19-20% who still support Bush.

All the other networks are worse. At least Fox interviewed Dr. Morgan Reynolds of Scholars For Truth. He pointed out that the jet crash into the south tower was computer generated and that according to BTS records, Flights AA 11 and AA 77 never took off. Click http://news.propeller.com/story/2008/05/14/dr-r...
Fox also broadcast an explosive documentary about Israeli spying, and then was forced to make it vanish. It did not specifically blame Israel for the September 11 terrorism, but it raised suspicions. Click http://100777.com/usa/israeli_spyring

When was the last time someone watched the man on the street interviewing young people on the street and asking them political questions?
These 'supposed' hip and with it politicos think that the presidential election is being done right now instead of primaries, and they think both people trying to be president are in the same party and have no idea there is a Republican waiting to do battle once the Democrats 'finally' come up with a candidate. As of right now, the Dems have two wannabs and the Republicans have a real candidate. Yeah the young vote, it's very important because they know not what they do and are easily manipulated, especially with the OLD argument.

Most likely not, heck I'd be fun to have a beer with as I'm sure most here would, as long as we don't talk about politics and such, I'm sure we'd get along.
I have just as much right to have my opinion as anyone here without someone calling me uneducated or a varied other things. I can take it but when that happens all it does is make me push back harder.

You're problem was, and still remains to be, is that you came on this thread talking about things that were totally unrelated. You've talked about Clinton, Bush bashing, and a host of other crap that has nothing to do with that. Then when people heckle you or become disturbed you proceed to become even more agitating. I fear it's more a cry out for attention than a conviction to voice your opinion. There are plenty of threads out there where Bush bashing or Hillary was the subject. Yet you used this forum to express your unrelated political opinion. You came here to stir things up. It's clear to me. To agitate. I laugh at you. I refuse to give you the type of attention you long for.

I work at an ABC TV station. I can say that the youtube clip was edited - but not by adding the McCain picture. That was in the original airing, what was edited was the cut immediately after the McCain picture to the anchor 2-shot. There was some time removed there. You'll notice the audio cut out and the picture cut abruptly.
The reason for the McCain picture is this. The "Right Now" computer generated animation (CG) has "holes" in it while it is running. This means that you will see whatever is under the CG - it could be black, a solid color, a picture, or a video clip. So in the youtube clip, the "Right Now" story is going to be about McCain. What Fox 5 did is start the CG animation and the video clip at the same time, with the CG animation keyed over the video clip. As soon as the animation finishes, it goes away and just leaves the video continuing to run behind it.
If the story was about Obama or Clinton their picture would have shown up there too.

This is subliminal for sure. One cannot make this type of mistake without meaning to. Its a news stations intro logo, one would literally have to input that McCain image into it knowing full well what they were doing.. No way someone accidentally spliced that McCain shot into it..
anyone with any video editing experience will tell you the same thing.

I am not a bigot. There is no basis for that accusation.
Look, John McCain is the same age as my mother. But unlike my mother, he ACTS older than dirt! I think that is an accurate observation...
Of course, it could be worse. I could call him a dumbass like I do President Bush.
And I could be much more mean and nasty as I have seen from aniokly, JoseMadre, lum-chate and others who repeatedly regurgitate TRULY bigoted statements against Barack Obama. Statements which have - I might add - absolutely no basis in fact.
I would think that my harmless words pale in comparison...

Yes there is Scott and you know it, you can't fake out of it. You've been bashing his age and talking about dementia and such.
Trying to use other posters actions in threads, as an excuse is so lame don't you think?
Go ahead and keep talking about his age, some people think bigotry is ok as long as the person or group deserves it in their own personal view, I just think that someone that is supposed to be personally sensitive to those types of things would refrain from doing the very thing that has given them personal pain to others.
I would have thought you were mature enough to figure out that being age bigoted is just as bad as any bigotry, seeing how you know first hand about bigotry and have stated so here in these threads.

The guy who caught this was doing video editing and caught this by chance. Yes, it was declared illegal. That doesn't usually stop people from doing it though. It just makes the crooks sneakier. They probably never thought in a million years that anyone would have caught it. I wonder how many others are doing it and most people never catch it.

It was made illegal in advertising. Apparently FOX doesn't consider their splash an advertisement... but then you have to wonder about their news content. I'd say this seriously calls for an investigation of subliminal content in non-advertisement content.

I'd put forth the proposition that PUTTING a single candidates image there like that MAKES it a form of advertising. Probably unpaid, but that's subject to audit too. More candidates for prison. No wonder our prisons are so full. Hell, if everyone was put there that really OUGHT to be there, not only would our government collapse, but there might not be enough people left on the outside to guard the ones on the inside. Why is it that lately it seems like EVERYONE is out to "beat the system?" I blame the damned MBA programs. Everything gets reduced to a number, and to hell with ethics, sound business practice, and treating people fairly.

It's also illegal for government to disseminate propaganda through the media, but that hasn't stopped this administration. And our tax dollars paid the so called 'journalists' who did it for them.

Subliminals*
Science or Myth?
Time will tell if, 5 or 10 or 20 years from now, some new researchers will need to write articles similar to the ones we wrote 6 years ago to alert the public to the fact that no scientific evidence is available showing that subliminal stimulation can significantly influence human motivation and behavior.

Oh the Horror!
I'd rather have news where the casts say "I get a tingle up me leg for Obama".
Oh he is sooo sexy and handsome! Sigh,,,,,,
Or where they openly ask Hillary to step down and allow the one they 'tingle' over to take his rightful place in history! Who the heck needs subliminal messages?
You guys are funny.

Nope, I'm just pointing out the truth. You are whining about this and you don't even have proof that it's real or not. But you have no problem with overt schoolgirl infatuation of Obama by your fav TV news cast.
Hip Hop Hippity Hop,,,, nice tune,,,,, wrong idea,, and way off base on your analysis of my post

Yet another.

Folks, if you have any advertising experience you would know that point of purchase marketing is extremely effective. It touches you just below your awareness, so that is why it is still employed today. These are deliberate acts. Often they go unnoticed by the editorial depts and can often be placed there by staffers below the management's radar (often as a joke). Sometimes it is paid for as subliminal advertising.
Anybody remember seeing the pictures of the enormous dong in a simple tab of melting butter back in the 70's?

Looked like a lousy cut and paste job on the video...with 14 minutes missing.
Somebody trying to make Fox look bad...well worse than usual.
Just people seeing conspiracy theories where they don't exist...on the other hand maybe there is one...against McCain and Fox.

On thing is certain: the McCain campaign and Republicans at Fox had nothing to do with this. Most subliminal advertising has no effect whatsoever, and flashing McCain's imagae on the Fox logo is not going to change a single vote. It was a prank by someone who does not like the Fox Network or John McCain.
