AlphaG-
He just goes fishing twice as often instead.
Real good on ya, Shruby!
FTA President Bush said Tuesday he was disappointed in "flawed intelligence" before the Iraq war
The majority of US citizens are ""disappointed in the "flawed intelligence" before the Iraq war"" and after not just of that given TO Bush but that which Bush DISPLAYED as John Kerry stated "IN RUSHING TO WAR". Ditto for the dittoheads in the republican lead congress who kissed Bush's lower cheaks rather than holding him to account for his criminal character and conduct.

AG you're a real Einstien yourself for your continued support of this miserable failure you consider a great leader and President. The true red, white, blue, blind patriot, neoconists (such as yourself) had a hidden agenda to invade, conquer and occupy Iraq long before Bush entered the oval office, huh?
Why can't you all just muster the integrity to be straight about it and admit it?
Got WMD, NO! Got INTEGRITY, NO!

Yeah, this war is free for most of us... no taxes, no victory gardens, no rationing, mostly someone else's children getting killed or maimed. You have to remind yourself we are at war, by giving up golf, saving resources where you can and praying for an end to the war.

Rimbaud, when you said this war is free for most of us, I assume that was a joke.
Three to six trillion dollars have been subtracted from the total worth of America; we pay for it now and for years to come; with a weak dollar, higher prices, fewer jobs, poorer cities, diminished futures for ourselves and our children.
And there is a spiritual cost. America faces disunity and lack of direction, lack of belief.
Giving up golf is not reminding yourself of the war; it is kidding oneself that there is no real cost; that it is a play of symbols.
But the war has not been free for anyone in America. There is ALWAYS a price.

moms lost kids on 9/11. that was before then einstein. bush made an impassioned plea to the nations of the world to stop terrorist killers.... from a golf course. his impassioned plea to stop terror in the world was promptly sidelined.... by his golf drive. the wrong context made it look like he didn't care. the wrong priorities made it look like.... well, he didn't care. the years since then have proven that he didn't and still doesn't care. it wasn't respect for dead kids that made bush give up golf. it was michael moore's movie and the weight of public opinion. public opinion, that's something bush cares a little more about. his whole presidency has been one long drive to shape it. too late

AG,
Did you even see Fahrenheit 911? Did you?
Name one piece of fiction in the movie. Please. Just one...and I, for one, will shut up.
George W. Bush is the worst president EVER! And history will eventually remember him that way...unless, of course John McCain is elected...then he'll have some competition.

The sacrifices the man has made for his country...let no one say, this man golfed while others died. By denying himself the links, Bush has, spiritualy placed himself side to side with the bravest Americans, sacrificing their lives, or in his case, 18 holes.
Truly, this man is a monument.

...wasn't it great how he ignored a brief titled "OBL Determined to Attack Inside the USa" (that mentioned the use of planes), partially due to the fact that he was busy setting a record for a president on vacation!

If that brief was useful, why didn't Clinton catch Obama? Why didn't the CIA and FBI already have tenough info to keep working toward preventing an attack? It's all well and good to mention "the use of planes", but unless someone finds out where, when, and how, they don't really know anything. Hindsight is 20/20, it's easy to connect the dots once the picture is colored in for you.

We were discussing the briefing that was put together under Clinton. Some feel it should have given Bush everything he needed to stop 9/11. If that were true, then Clinton could have gotten him.
And, assuming that were true, Clinton should have gone to the media and exposed that Bush was on vacation while oBL was preparing his attack. His silence cost 3000 American lives. He should be tried as a terroist.
"If" it were true.

The White House declassified and released Saturday the daily intelligence briefing delivered to President Bush a month before the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
----
The brief is DATED AUGUST 6, 2001.. some of the data in the briefing was collected since 1998 and was a summary of that data, but Clinton HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THAT.. Bush.. went on vacation.. from all the HARD WORK OF BEING PRESIDENT..

What exactly do you think the president does? If Gore had been president, would he have doffed a Sherlock Holmes style hat, grabbed up a magnifying glass and traipsed around the world in pursuit of OBL that August? What could Bush have done that could not have been completed remotely from his ranch? He gets briefings, signs documents, teleconferences, etc while he is "on vacation". If your job asked you to be as involved with work as he is while you were on vacay, you would have a fit.

No, I don't expect it, which is my point. You are the one who expects Bush to have done what Clinton couldn't. As you pointed out, you can't have it both ways.
I do, however, fault Clinton for turning away chances to capture OBL, especially after the first attack on the Trade Towers.

that one was debunked by the 911 commission..
i didn't expect Bush to capture Bin Ladin. .. still don't.. he needs him.... and the next president may as well...
but when you have top advisors who are experts that "are running around with their hair on fire" trying to get SOMEONE.. ANYONE to listen.. then there is a problem.. Bush Clinton makes no difference to me.. .. Bush dropped the ball that Clinton handed him.. .. they weren't even interested in capturing the bombers of the Cole..

Zieg you dumb blond! Clinton didn't miss them, read Clarke's Book and get educated of your ignorant ways. Al Qaeda was just figured out late in Clinton's tenure and was given as the top priority to Dumya... who ignored it!. Add all the times the Repug Congress failed to even fund any of the Clinton anti-terror requests... and you get the typical failure of Repugs to do anything and then blame it on the Dems. Besides Clinton caught and convicted the first win Tower bombers.
How many Fs did Dumya get from the bipartison 911 Commission... and still gets (so he disbanded the Commission)?
Clinton didn't let OBL out of Tora Bora... and Clinton never said it didn't matter if we got OBL or not, like Dumya has said. How much of a ignorant hypocrite can you be, Ziggy?

1) Marion Bowman, an FBI Agent in the Radical Fundamentalists Unit of the FBI, removed Evidence that Zakarias Moussaoui was related to Al Quada via a rebel group in Chechnia in a brief before submitting it to the FBI's General Council. By doing so, the FBI Deputy General Council felt there was an insufficient connection between Al Quada and Moussaoui, thus allowing them to deny a search warrant of Moussaoui's Laptop, which was later discovered to be "even more valuable then previously believed".
Why then was Marion Bowman promoted after 9/11, as opposed to demoted, as one would have expected.
9/11 was an inside job.

How retarded is that?
Dead is dead, whether Bush golfs or not.
But no, he will continue sending people off to die, he will continue supporting cuts in VA benefits, he just won't golf.
Howinthehell does THAT make things right?
