Famed left-wing radio personality Bernie Ward of San Francisco, a former priest who had one of the loudest and most consistently anti-George W. Bush voices in the entire nation, was found guilty of possessing and distributing child pornography on Friday and will serve at least five years in prison. ward tried to argue that he was "doing research" on child pornography, but as the San Francisco Chronicle reported:

LMFAO hahahahahaaaahahaa.
I don't really care that she said it. Although I find it humoress that she would say " What the F**k are you doing?" to a co-worker on air.
Sometimes we all get bent. Sh*t happens!!! LOL

You know what I think is even more absurd? The flood of calls to the station calling for Sue's head! I mean this is New York where the F-word is the normal vernacular nowadays. You can't even walk in the streets w/o hearing it at least once! Those 'puritans' that called to protest,& have Sue Simmons fired need to get a grip, and get a life! Granted, Sue should apologize, but NOT tried to get fired for it.

You are right BB! She said:" I used a word that many people find offensive. It was a mistake I made and I am truly sorry". I think that should be enough...
Nowadays nothing astonishes me concerning language and however (I swear to you: I am very old fashion!). Even our President Sarkozy here told to a man " casse toi pauvre c..", and he is still here LOL

The F word is a staple in my vocabulary but I am cognizant of to whom and where I say it.

What the f... was she doing in around 1975-1976, when a friend of mine arranged an interview with her regarding some events that pointed to the fact that a middle eastern country was kidnapping Americans for ransom, and the interview was called off allegedly by the "management" of NBC ?
My friend was guarding the evidence till 1996, when he was arrested (kidnapped) into a mental institution, and kept for a month for no reason, and when he got out, nothing was missing from his home except a Heatkit H89 Computer, and the recorded tapes of the telephone conversation proving that ed the kidnapped victim was held there (in the middle east) and not in the USA as presented by the media at the time. So what the f... was, and, is going on here ?????

I think most of us do. It's just a humorous situation that a little word can upset so many people. And it wasn't even directed at them.

Probably what many of us would be thinking, though not saying, in the situation. The apology is sufficient.
I rather suspect that there's some behind-the-scenes friction at the station. #@?&$ !

A flood of phone calls? What is wrong with this country?? This is so ridiculous. And it's front-page news today on Newsday and The Post! Incredible, simply incredible! When are Americans going to grow up and realize there are so many real things we're outraged about -- like the price of oil and food!! My language is starting to get a little more colorful today as I fill up my tank or buy food -- and I've got a little car!

Simmons three-word "slip" has made me a very happy human this AM.
The thought that for one brief shining moment a bit of reality pierced the super-plasticized, commercially shrink-wrapped, totally ersatz and in other ways toxic-to-human-well-being world of TV "news" is cause for rejoicing.
She's my new favorite person. I propose a ticker-tape parade with obscenities traded back and forth among all!

Thanks for posting this Poulenc. It was a gracious apology and the dear lady was obviously embarrassed by the whole thing. (Once she was assured that her job was quite secure, I hope she was able to go home and laugh herself silly!!!)
But phone-in complaints??? Demands for resignation??? w......?
