Hold it Osama. John McCain says he is coming after you and will either capture you or leave you dead by 2013!. Could you lend him a "walker" or "crutches" so he does not fall off the mountain cliffs in Western Pakistan? If he cannot do it, he has promised to check in to a Nursing Home and leave you alone.

  Yeah, I remember Bush's bluster too. "He can run but he can't hide." Said 7 years ago. Bush outsourced the pursuit to a rag-tag group of Afghan warlords to keep bin Laden safe and sound so he could trot him out every time he needed a boogeyman to terrify the American public into letting him have his way.

    We let bin Laden go and pursue Saddam Hussein...that makes sense, right? Seven years later, still no bin Laden, and we're stuck in Iraq with no easy way out.

      It does make sense if you realize that Bin Laden actually gave the neocons what they asked for...a New Pearl Harbor. They knew they could never implement the plans drawn up at PNAC without such an event. Note that once these plans were implemented within months Bush's approval nosedived, never to revive. Meaningless to Cheney and his brood. I am sure when Georgie came crying he simply told him: "So?"

        The reason the numbers are low is because they were elected to end the war and the Bush Presidency. They didn't come through so people aren't happy with them. This does not bode well for the Republicans in November.

        false blame for Katrina?? Clinton and Bush Sr both gave up biz trips for hurricanes or impending natural disasters, before they happened.
        Bush Jr, went golfing. You know, that game Jr gave up as a sacrifice to show support for US troops before he didn`t actually give it up.
        The Congress has so low ratings because the cons are filibustering and blocking what America voted in the Dems to do. Hence, three special elections in Republican districts have all gone to the Dems.
        Bush`s approval ratings were a call for unity post 9/11. They starting going downhill as soon as he took two months to do a thing and then when he let obl go free, and then when he illegally diverted funds from Afghanistan to Iraq, etc.
        In other words, the high ratings were none of his own doing, but the low ratings are a true reflection of his incompetence and failures.
        How many times do you have to be used b4 you get it?

    Clinton gave that a try on August 19th, 1998 but received nothing but condemnation (he was "Wagging the Dog", he blew up an aspirin factory!). He almost got OBL. Never gets any credit for the attempt.
    As for your question. If he is in fact dead, yes, it does make a difference. And if that is the case who is speaking on these mysterious messages that seem to be so well timed. Because of his apparent operational ineffectiveness (living high in the mountains with no electronic communication) it should take days, even weeks, for him to get a message out of Waziristan.

        Yes, I have read that book. It is purely a biased account of the Clinton presidency. Anyone with the nickname "Buzz" has to be taken somewhat lightly. I have plenty of issues with the way Clinton conducted himself. Ignoring OBL is not one of them.
        The fact that Clinton actually took action against OBL seems to completely escape the both of you. As does the fact that Bush/Cheney seem not the least bit concerned by his continued existence. You are living in a world of smoke and mirrors.

  Lets see. He is a true believer so you better become a good Muslim or die. That is the choice he is giving you. People of the Book are many times allowed to live under Islam provided they pay jizya.
  Quran 9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His apostle nor acknowledge the religion of truth (even if they are) of the People of the Book until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.
  The Jizya had to be paid individually at a humiliating public ceremony to remind the Dhimmis (protected people), that they are inferior to the believers, that is, the Muslims.
