      When it does go to a vote in November, I'm sure the people will vote in favor of gay marriage in the state.

      It will be a close vote, but I think common sense will prevail.

          Marriage is a legal contract. There is nothing in the laws that requires your particular church to conduct the ceremony.

          You, however, might wish to find a less hate-filled church.

            Let the opponents fight all they want. Common sense will indeed prevail. When the earth does not swallow California for allowing gay marriage, the idiotic zealots will be exposed for the loonies that they are. No one can explain how gay and lesbian couples wedding one another will damage or change hetero marriages. Will it make straight couples less married? Will it "water down" the sanctity of marriage? I figure divorce and death are the two leading causes of marriages ending, but I might be wrong.

                Christianity has been able to influence daily life, especially in the west, by the age-old sales technique: convert the emperor(s) and the vassals will follow suit. This may have worked in feudal times, but will fail in a more enlightened era!

                Chrsitian "dogma" on marriage, insisting that ONLY the "sacred" union between a man and a woman can result in "stable families" flies in the face of evidence all around and has led to overpopulation, which causes destruction of natural habitat for plants and animals resultING in Global warming!

                Mother Earth is indeed angry - with those who interfere with her! There is no other way to view the recent, increasing spate of killer-tornadoes in the Midwest and Southeast of the US, the killer-cyclones in SE Asia, and the severe earthquakes in China and other areas.

                The Christian stance on Marriage can now be seen as a deleterious interruption of Nature - LET NATURE RUN ITS COURSE!

                    They can fight the ruling all they want. That doesn't change the decision of the California Supreme Court, the highest interpreter of California state law.
