In fact, modern science has found no evidence of God and so it's stupid anymore to think God exists. The above statements are often presented as conventional wisdom, but are they true?

Science and Theology are from two completely different branches of thought.
As for rendering creation myths obsolete, I suppose that's possible if you read the majority of creation stories literally.
Then again as you get closer and closer to the creation point of our multiverse there are more and more theories brought forth from the mouths of scientists. Not a one of them in any way proven to be 'truth' or scientific fact.
So I guess the lack of credible science concerning not only the first few picoseconds of our universe, but that which preceeded it, renders most scientists' creation-stories into myth.

how about "How those that believe in God really feel about God?" now THAT would be interesting.
