Latest from a few minutes ago...Kennedy had a siezure.

I have a feeling that those thoughts and prayers will be posted on the front page tommorrow as smears and insults.

Feel sympathy for anyone who has a stroke, having been there. Not my favorite politician; but somtimes stuff like that has to take a back seat to the humanity we all have in common. Wish him the best.

After the initial round of well wishes the pundits will soon gear themselves up for conjecture. Will he be able to serve? Who would replace him and so on. Balance of power in the Senate. Let's all take a deep breath and hope for the best.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Senator and his family

The Kennedy's were having a special event on Cape Cod this weekend.

Best Buddies â;; a foundation started by the Kennedys to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities â;; is dedicating the park Saturday in honor of Eunice Kennedy Shriver's work on behalf of the group. The Eunice Kennedy Shriver Ocean Park replaces what for years has been a parking area for people attending Craigville's public beach. The Best Buddies Corporation purchased the lot in September 2007 for just over $1 million.

The dedication of the park will coincide with the Hyannisport Challenge, a fundraiser for Best Buddies. The challenge includes a bike ride that kicks off Saturday morning at the JFK Library in Boston and ends in Hyannisport.

The Kennedy's really have given a great deal to this country

He has inspired me a great deal throughout my lifetime and I join others here in wishing he gets well very soon. Btw, I just gave more pos's to posters with views ideologically different from mine in this thread than all previous threads in which I've participated this year combined. This is a humbling moment (not that this is about me).

CNN reports Senator Kennedy is in the hospital "alert, resting comfortably, and watching the Red Sox game with his family."

Debra J is right in every one of her posts. Ted Kennedy is responsible for the murder of the unborn, the blood of those babies is on his hands, and he will have to face the consequences one way or the other. I too have prayed for the Lord to remove him from office.

Those of you who are PERSONALLY attacking Debra for speaking the Truth are obviously not true Christians.

You know, I've been amazed when people on the left have come in and wished those on the right that have died or been sick to burn in Hell and other things. I also think it's wrong for anyone from the right to so the same thing.

Firstly, why would anyone wish another to burn in Hell? That is if the place actually exists, which I doubt. Let your GOD (if you believe) sort out the life of others and their transgressions, for those that don't believe, death will eventually take care of the person you hate so much.

Okay, this is a bad comment I guess considering the situation, but Senator "Edward" Kennedy? Isn't it Ted, as in Theodore?

There's a history of strokes in my family, they can be serious and debilitating, like my great grandma's, or transitory and handled with medication, like my father's.

My hopes that Sen. Kennedy, who follows a path of service to his country, has a speedy and full recovery.

                            Nice post Alpha. :)

Great post, I wondered how many of us would become indignant. Not many, surprising how civil we can be. I for one am not A Ted Kennedy fan, for some of the reasons mentioned. I acknowledge his contribution to the political scene but at this time it's not appropriate to comment on his politics. I wish him well and if he were unable to return to the Senate or decided not to it would not bother me in the least. We are not bedfellows, and I believe what has happened to the Kennedy family has dictated the lives they lead, the paths they took. Had we not lost John, how different things might have been. I don't believe Ted would have espoused his type of politics had John lived.
