            99% of the species that have existed on this Earth at one time or another have gone extinct. Humans will eventually join the tiger.

            We are by far the animal with the greatest hubris. It won't happen to us, we are simply better than that. But it certainly will. We may in the end prove ourselves to be the most foolish species ever to have existed.
