"The letter said that recommended daily doses of six Herbalife products contained levels of lead that are dangerous and in excess of what California law allows under its Safe Drinking and Toxic Environment Act of 1994."
"The law requires businesses to warn consumers if their products contain chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity. An explanation of the law can be found on the website of California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment at http://www.oehha.org/prop65/law/P65law72003.html."

I do not understand the need for suppliments, my grandparents lived to their mid 90s doing everything that science now says will kill you. I suppose it did eventually kill them, but not until they were completely worn out. I am in my late 60s, have never had a vitamin nor any other health enhancer. I go to the doctor for a physical exam every 24 months to maintain my CDL. It would seem to me that health food is a scam ran on a really gullible public.....

It's not the length of your life, but the quality by which you live it each day that matters most. Toxins like heavy metals can cause pain and speed up cell degeneration, and possibly brain diseases. I suppose lead may not have a measurable effect on the aging, but certainly if your experiencing chronic illnesses, it could only exacerbate the problem over time.

I have been a share holder of Herbalife stocks ever since our research indicated on how much potential this company have for our investment portfolio and the reputation of the scientists and operators behind the company. We have vested much research into this matter and have concluded people not to digest information w/o proper due diligence.
Who is the source of the report? Barry Minkow of the alleged "Fraud Discovery Institute" whom purchased 'put' options in the company stock. So ask yourself why invest in having stocks go down when you are also the source of the report? The guy actually served time for stock fraud.
Are the reports valid? 3 pills per meal each and every day? No wonder they have the lead amounts high. This is 3 times the actual dosages.
Jim Cramer advises that Herbalife stocks will be affected. It's a great time to buy.
People who read snippets of text and are quick to judge makes people like me a lot of money. And for that, I thank you all.
