He's not claiming 57 States he's claiming 60 states.
He said he had been to 57 states with 1 left to go, that would be 58 states.
And then he said his staff won't let him go to Alaska or Hawaii,
That's 60 states.
Kinda explains why the Electoral College is so difficult for em to understand.

Yeah, he said stuff ALMOST as stupid as:
"You work three jobs? â;¦ Uniquely American, isn't it? I mean, that is fantastic that you're doing that." Dumby
"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." You know who.
"I'll be long gone before some smart person ever figures out what happened inside this Oval Office." Just one week ago.
"Afghanistan is the most daring and ambition mission in the history of NATO." 'W'
"Let me start off by saying that in 2000 I said, 'Vote for me. I'm an agent of change.' In 2004, I said, 'I'm not interested in change --I want to continue as president.' Every candidate has got to say 'change.' That's what the American people expect." Hooooooweeeeeee!!!!
Gotta love that Dumbyah!
The list goes on and on and on and on and on and on..

When you aren't capable of telling the truth, it becomes very hard to remember which lie you told to who and when.
Obama is bad news. It amazes me that he gets a pass from the MSM when every other politician was raked over the coals for having done just ONE of those types of gaffes.
Remember Dean the screamer, Bush: "Read my lips", and countless others. Why is it, that Dean get's railed out of a nomination for screaming in jubilation, but Obama is adored for not knowing what a fifth grader knows, 57 states???
Obviously, the media is afraid of being accused of racism, should they actually make any noise of just how stupid a black man is, but it is open season on whites.
Could it be that they actually are racists, and are trying to disguise that fact by bending over backwards to worship Lord Obama?
Obama is ignorant. His wife is ignorant. They have proven that point several times. It isn't because he is black. it is because he is ignorant.

There a number of websites compiling Obama gaffes
They are really starting to pile up
Here are few more:
When asked how we would respond to another major al-Qaeda attack on the U.S., he talked about disaster response instead of military action.
Obama stated that he would meet with enemy dictators - without any preconditions. Not long after, he said "if we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharaf will not act, we will." With allies like Obama, who needs enemies? He then declared that the use of nuclear weapons against al-Qaeda were "not on the table."
Obama referred to the 'president' of Canada. Canada has a prime minister, not a president.
Ine site has labeled it "The Obama Gaffe-O-Matic"

Here's where the conbots go for their blog crap:
Malkin was born in Philadelphia to Filipino parents, Dr. Apolo and Rafaela Maglalang, who were recent immigrants to the United States on legal visas.[2] Her maternal grandfather fought under General Douglas MacArthur.[3] She grew up in Absecon, New Jersey,[4] and attended Holy Spirit High School. She graduated from Oberlin College, which she describes as a "radically left-wing, liberal arts college."[5] In 1993, she married Jesse Malkin, a Rhodes Scholar. As of 2004 Jesse, a former economist for the RAND Corporation[6] stays home and raises their two children.[7
She also has been a frequent commentator for FOX News Channel and has guest-hosted The O'Reilly Factor.
She licks the Dog crap off R. Murdocks Shoes. You remember Murdock cons? You worship him every day. He is the austrialian neocon anti-american who pays O'Reily and sets the paramaters for what he can say and not.

You worship an american hating billionaire and bend over for his psy ops plants and echo and mimick the catholic O'Reily and Mormon convert Beck, without the intelligence to know they are just puppets on his billion dollar strings.

Do you have any evidence to support your statement? That would mean that Murdoch's mother or father would have to be Israeli. Both of Murdoch's parents were born in Australia. All the research I could find shows that Murdoch is Australian. His mother traces her ancestry back to 17th century Scotland.
Why do you trace everything back to the Jews and Israel?

That is not what I did. You are taking a knee jerk leap again, as usual. I'm tracing murdock back, and you agree, to austrialia, and since his mother was Jewish, I'm assuming he could get Israeli citizenship. And since Murdock is a completely right wing mogal, publishing the weekly standard, wall street journal, and the insane right Faux news, completly in support of the war in Iraq, which can only be for the good of the Saudi's and Isreali's, and hiring Aries for director of Fox, a guy getting awards from the hard right zionist RJC, I'm not far off base at all.

And, as usual, I also ridiculed the mormon Beck and the catholic O'Reily, yet you passed this over as insignificant. Perhaps, I am right in my assumption you are studying law to work at the anti defamation league, where any criticism of Isreal, the pure jewish state, is antisemitism. Perhaps it is you who has the connections up the chain at netscape/aol/time warner.

"Word of mouth like "John McCain has a secret black love child".
Uhm what secret black love child? Do you mean Bridget? If yes, she's not Black, she's Asian. The McCain's adopted her from an orphanage in Bangladesh. By all indications the McCain's do love her.
http://www.dadmag.com/archive/060400jmccain.php
Dadmag: Your youngest daughter Bridget is adopted. Why did you decide to adopt Bridget?
McCain: Well it was primarily my wife's Cindy's idea. She was in Bangladesh and she and some of the medical personnel visited Mother Theresa's orphanage to try and help the children there. There were two little baby girls there. One had a heart problem the other a severe cleft palate. Cindy was very concerned about their ability to survive and their need for medical treatment, so she decided to bring them here for medical treatment. She fell in love with both of them. We decided to adopt Bridget. Two close friends of ours, adopted Mickey, the other child.

"Michelle Malkin is the most vile, hateful commentator I've ever met in my life," he says. "She actually believes that neighbors should start snitching out neighbors, and we should be deporting people. It's good she's in D.C. and I'm in NY. I'd spit on her if I saw her."[58]

Its more accurate to say god smote the poor blacks, the gays were uneffected, but close enough for McCain.
And where is it written that the definition of a war hero is : one who drops incinderary bombs on vietnamese light bulb factrories, gets shot down after being rescued by a vietnamese fisherman, (one of the "gooks" he was trying to kill, and thrown into the hilton, all in the name of stopping the evil communist domino effect?

FTA-* And in perhaps the most seriously troubling set of gaffes of them all, Obama told a Portland crowd over the weekend that Iran doesn't "pose a serious threat to us"â;;cluelessly arguing that "tiny countries" with small defense budgets can't do us harmâ;; and then promptly flip-flopped the next day, claiming, "I've made it clear for years that the threat from Iran is grave."
It only takes one nuke to really mess up your day.

Is it ever going to end? If Iran fires even one missile (nuclear or not) at Israel or anyone else for that matter, you will see such a massive response you will find nothing remaining of Iran or its population on Google Earth. They know this, we know this, every right thinking human being should know this. Somehow it escapes the cons.
I have to say it again. You don't see the mullah's and clerics blowing themselves up in the streets. They are the least sure of believers. They know the consequences. We live in a MAD world. I suppose we have to spell that out for you - Mutual Assured Destruction. That hasn't changed and won't be changing anytime soon. This is a spurious argument. When we say you have drinken the Kool-Aid this is exactly what we are referring to.

Two questions for you on this...
1. Where is this massive response going to come from?
2. Who is going to pull the trigger on this massive response.
You far left liberals have been screaming for years now that the U.S. military is over extended, and unless Iran does something stupid before Nov. you better hope McCain is elected because Obama will not respond at all.

Right on, V.O.R. I gave you a pos. Iran or anyone else using a nuke will be suicide.
Iran has the right to atomic energy for peaceful means. Besides, nuke weapons require a long time to develop, test and deliver. We will know - there's plenty of time.
It's unbelievable how easy and quick some will use what ONE MAN said to help justify war. Iran's parliament didn't say "...wipe Israel off the map". Iran's supreme leader didn't say it. The people of Iran didn't. In fact, Ahmadinejad lost some 90% of his support in the local elections after he said that, and the Ayatollah wasn't too happy with him either. I haven't heard Ahmadinejad saying it lately. Why label the entire country of "Iran" a threat? It's more of the same fear and war: "Communism must be stopped", "the great red hoard"..........UNBELIEVABLE! What a waste.

A gaffe machine? As opposed to our current leader? This is what you guys will use this fall. As if he is an idiot. These soundbites thrill you I know but try to listen to an entire speech every once and awhile will you? You maintain the schedule he has and see if your tongue doesn't slip every once in while. Of course he knows there are fifty states. I pity you guys, I really do. You will sell this country right down the river in the belief you are doing the right thing. The neo-conservative policies of this administration have been a massive failure and we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.
Sure we laughed at Bush's gaffes and go ahead laugh at Obama. But there are a whole lot more serious issues on the table here.

It's to bad people call Obama names. But the same people don't realize or fully understand the path Bush has led us into and McCain will continue on. This unjustified war in Iraq, continued verbal public attacks on Iran, North Korea, Cuba etc by Bush & now McCain will isolate us from the rest of the world. Bush and now McCain's words will continue to resonate throughout the world and bring us more enemies and create an even more unstable Middle East, an area we depend on for our oil supply.
If McCain is elected, & continues his rethoric on Iran, Cuba etc he will endanger our lifes. Iran is not a backward country with limited technology. Our military is already spread way to thin in Iraq. Obama is right, now is not the time to continue to talk about the "axis of evil." Not is the time for tough diplomacy, for talks, to bring about peaceful resolutions to the problems the world is facing.

Keep pushing for Obama. He thinks he is better than Chamberlain. When he talks with them they will change their minds. He will get nowhere because they devoutly believe what they are doing is right. The president of Iran has a man dead almost 1000 years telling him how to do things. Obama is going to change that mans mind? If you think so I have a friend that will sell you a house cheap. It is on beautiful Sarasota Bay. It has been written up in the paper.

Iran is governed by the ruling Mullahs. Ahmedinejad doesn't have much decision power. I can't remember a time when Iran attacked any country without being attacked first.
Iran was also the first country to condem 9/11 & offer their help to us.
Bush added them to his axis of evil after they condemned 9/11 & offered their assistance to us.
Yet, Bush meets up with the Saudis & McCain will to. Rather interesting.

Iran attack US soil on Nov 4, 1979 taking hostages and holding them for 444 days. It also attacked neutral ships during the Iraq-Iran war when those ships were suspected of supporting Iraq. During this same time, Iran fired its Chinese-made Silkworm missiles on Kuwait from Al Faw Peninsula.
None of these countries who were attacked or had their ships attacked attacked Iran first.
I know you hate to hear it, but Bush was right. Iran and Iraq were meddlesome neighbors of SWA; most people have just forgotten.

And another insipid Republican administration negotiated with terrorists through a back channel to get them out. And da-n that was a long time ago. What the h-ll does that have to do with today's world?
It's the Iranian people we should be worrying about, many who once had significant pro-Western feelings but we are killing that sentiment if it isn't completely dead. No one has yet stated that Ahmadinejad is about as popular in his country as Bush is here at home. If they hadn't disqualified the reform party candidates his party would be in serious difficuly. Attack them and pro-western sentiment will completely die. Iran is almost four times the size of Iraq with more than twice the number of people. We couldn't possibly occupy such a vast and populous country. We could hit key targets but you could guarantee that they would simply mine or scuttle ships in the Strait of Hormuz sending oil speculators and in turn world markets into a frenzy.

To your comments about relevancy to today's world; it is commonly believed that Ahmadinejad was among those who participated in the kidnapping. GlobalSecurity.org reports that he was in favor of storming the Soviet embassey as well. He was 23 yrs old at the time and his relevancy to those events is very significant.

Reagan gambled (correctly) that the already weak Soviet bear could not economically support an escalated arms race. It was a risky gambit. This contributed to record debt added under Reagan. Bush has trounced that number threefold. It's not Bush I would worry about it's Cheney. He makes the calls on FP. Bush's sqeaky denials of this are good for a laugh. "I am the decider", yes, and Paul was the walrus and the walrus is dead. I am sure that reference will go way over someones head as several others have today.
The fact this article was written by Michelle Malkin says enough. Truly she is one of the few con commentators of whom I typically discard their opinion. Whining is not journalism. I think her anger stems from some type of sexual frustration. Or maybe constipation. Because she is always way too bound up.

Why do liberals think that a Republican presidents let others make their decisions for them? Ford, Reagan, Bush 1, and Bush 2 were all supposed to let someone else make their decisions. Everything I have heard about what went on at the cabinet meetins says they let everyone express their point of view and then they make up their own mind. Sometimes against advice. However that would make them intelligent and that just can't be. Liberals can't accept the Republican presidents are intelligent.
Reagan was ridiculed for his "Star Wars" technology push but it works and the Democrats said it couldn't be done. Just like White Flag Harry and hug your enemy Pelosi said we couldn't win in Iraq. On another story on Propeller an upset jihadist complains about how they have really lost in Iraq and put up facts and figures proving it.

That all sounds logical until you realize Reagan was let off the hook due to "plausible deniability" regarding Iran-Conta. This defense means it is logical to conclude that he was not aware of what his subordinates were doing. Those to who he had delegated authority. In particular Bill Casey. By the way considering the trillions we have spent on Star Wars we know have the potential ability (many tests have failed) to stop a single or perhaps two or three missiles but the system would be overwhelmed by an attack exceeding that level.
GW Bush did exactly as you say, he took counsel regarding whether to push forward to Baghdad he didn't listen to one, but rather all sides. Thank especially James Baker for that.
It is horrifingly obvious that in this administration that the VP is calling the shots regarding foreign policy. Neoconservatve idealogy rules.

I doubt Bush could anymore tell you what a neocon was at the beginning of his term than tell you the difference between a Sunni and Shia. He was a blank slate that has been written all over. He can claim to be "the decider" but seeing him in those briefings after Katrina showed his true colors. All of the important decisions have been decided from the neo-con point of view. Chyeney's has been the dominant voice. And as all we know Cheney is not one to compromise or listen to others opinions. That is the problem. He has made this a black and white world when there are so many subtle hues. GW Bush was never meant to be President. God certainly didn't ordain him. He has been a weak, spineless, ineffectual commander in contrast to the virulent cowboy image he once tried to portray.

Yep & it only takes one President who repeatedly publicly declares Iran, Iraq, Cuba, North Korea, Afghanistan, Palestine (more so Hamas), Lebanon (more so Hezbollah) etc as our enemies who must be defeated. That approach could very well motivate one of those countries to pick up a nuke & use it.
Obama is right with his call for "tough talks & diplomacy." Bush & McCain are wrong with their rethoric of continually declaring all these countries our enemies, invading one over unjustified reasons (Iraq), & refusing to talk with them.
Our military is streched very thin in Iraq. Whoever our next President will be, needs to understand that we can't afford to continue to publicly declare several countries at once our enemy. Especially not the countries we depend on to supply us with their oil.

I was trying to make a point, perhaps I made it poorly. The point was that if you take what a person says out of context (57 states, referring, obviously to visiting more than one state more than one time) you can spin anything the way you want it to sound.

I saw the clip of what he said. He goofed. He said he had been all of the states. He then said he had gone to 57 states. There was a subdued chuckle. He then added that he had 1 more to go. More chuckles. He then added that his campaign would not let him go to Alaska and Hawaii. More chuckles. He looked confused over the chuckles and just kept making it worse.
He obviously meant 47 states but said 57. He looked like a deer in headlights. He didn't understand peoples reaction.

There are three possibilities. One, he made a mistake and mis-spoke (unlikely). Two, he meant that he'd been to more than one state more than one time (likely, but not the most likely upon review). Three, he was making a joke. Three now seems the most likely based upon where the even occurred and the laughter from the audience.
So, it is typical of the political climate in which we find ourselves that a candidate can not make ANY comment, even in jest, that can be taken out of context and twisted by whomever wishes to do the most damage. And yes, there IS very much a difference between talking about the rigors of the campaign trail and speaking of "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran".

Someone ought to point out what this man really is and what he stands for the mainstream media have done nothing but admire and praise him for the past 16 months. What has he done? The only legislation I know anything about currently is the Global Poverty Relief bill that he sponsored, should be up for a vote in the senate this week or next: 845 billion of our tax dollars to go to third world countries to help fight poverty. What about our own country? Why is there no mention of this bill in the media? Do they want to try and hide the fact that Barack may be more concerned with countries like Kenya than his own country?
He has a free pass from the media, it may prove to be quite detrimental to our country to have the media select a nominee and push him into the presidency.

the first line of the article: "All it takes is one gaffe to taint a Republican for life."
I stopped reading right there since that's obviously, completely, utterly untrue.
just think about all the gaffes McCain has made so far that haven't hurt him. the conflation (or stupidity?) about not knowing the diff between sunni and shia comes to mind. and then there's his massive flip flopping which is well documented.
and then there's bush, the gaffe machine. he's got tons of websites devoted to his gaffes. so many gaffes that there's evena a word for them: bushisms.
if the rest of the story is as stupid as its premise, what a total waste of time.

Try thinking about who the Vice President under Bush 1 was. The potato story did him in. The media piled on for 6 days and rubbed it in very hard. Nothing he said after that was given much credence. Gore made worse mistakes and they were glossed over and not mentioned except on talk radio.
We have had many people who say a lot gaffes. We all say them. They are part of being people. The problem is how they are treated by the media.
A couple of Yankee managers were known and loved for them. Casey Stengel spoke Stenglese and his catcher and later manager Yogi Berra was just as bad. A classic example of Berra was when he told someone how to get to his house. "When you get to the fork in the road you turn." There are books of their gaffes.

What makes Obama's so bad is he is supposed to be a very intelligent eloquent speaker. He is but when he is not doing a speech he also makes them.

I'll agree that at the end of February the media reluctantly delved into the Rev. Wright thing (even though the info. had been available forever). Then after 4 days and an endorsement by Bill Richardson the media dropped it (until Wright himself spoke out), and it was revisited for less than a week. The media has been doing a great job of making anything negative about Barack go away quickly. Yet they still bring up incidents from Hillary or McCain from months ago.
Fair, unbiased?

um, then you weren't paying attention. all the news outlets played that 1.3 second clip of wright so many times over the course of two weeks it was incredible.
then of course they never played his entire sermon, or even the few minutes surrounding those 1.3 seconds. instead, they let everyone judge this man based on three words rather than his life's work.

ROTFLMAO
You can get his sermons from his church. They are proud of them. His speech at the NAACP was classic Wright. That clip is very representative of his sermons. That church gives its allegiance to Africa. Its web site proudly says it. Several people have obtained a lot of his sermons and examined them. They all say that that clip is in keeping with them. He and his church teach black liberation theology which looks at everything through the lens of blacks fighting oppression of whites. They say that Jesus was black and the white Romans killed him. And Obama listened to this for 20 years. If you read his books it is there in subtle form.

unlike hillary..who has messed up everything she's put her hands on..including this campaign..malkin is the real deal--a woman with a brain--and she's cute too--but they cant deal with what she says about barry obama so they personally attack her or mccain or her supporters--but they never respond with any real explanation of why he changes his position every time he doesnt have a scripted speech--my impression is that he can't explain a lot of it because he AGREES with people like the rev wrong or hamas--or raul--or "the world community"--who wont tolerate us keeping our homes warm in the winter

Well you can't blame Obama. I mean, it was his idiot mother who ran all over the world, hanging out with different men while sending poor little Barack off to school somewhere, or back to his grandparents for THEM to raise him. Typical irresponsible, liberal goofball.
Besides, you can't trust the schools in Indonesia to teach basic subjects like math, U.S. geography, reasoning and judgement skills.... They're too busy indoctrinating their youth with Muslim hate rhetoric, and how to get the most juice out of cocoanut.
(SIGH....) I guess what I'm trying to say is, here we are - American taxpayers - straddled yet again with having to take responsibility for the mistakes of some kooky, liberal dope who lacked the responsibility to take care of herself or her son, and NOW lookit. Little Barack is all grows-up and wants to be our president.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Only in America! I mean, I'm all for championing the little guy, but THIS guy?!? COME ON!!

I was paying attention, the clip of Rev. Wright was played Friday on Fox, then others felt obligated to cover it (some didn't even air it until Monday) through the following Thursday (at the most six days!). Then with Bill Richardsons's endorsement on Friday - they stopped playing the clip, focused on the endorsement and the "betrayal" by Richardson of the Clintons.
I was definately paying attention.
I have never seen the media treat any political figure this way!

Amazing how many PERFECT people in the world there are. Just astounding. Obviously no one on this blog has ever mis-spoke about anything. We are all guilty of mis-speaking at one time or another. I say this, at least this particular man Is capable of intelligent speaking. Look at the present "so called" commander in chief, Every time he opens his mouth there is a blunder of something or other. A total bumbling idiot. I think there are a lot of people afraid of what they do not understand and it's easier for them to tear down rather than unite. How sad for America.

mis-speaking is one thing..like not spelling potato correctly..then there's what barry does mostly which is LYING..these "mis-speaks" really to point either a horrendous lack of judgment in the people he surrounds himself with..or that he agrees with..like last weekend when he arrogantly declared that all comments about his bridezilla were out of bounds..not going to happen..oh really?? says who barry..is that a gaffe?..or just his elitist liberal snobbery showing..maybe both...and like all good lib-dems..you will now attack me instead of any explanation of his ridiculous positions and ignorance of so many issues..

How about how the Rev. Wright was his friend, mentor, spiritual advisor for the past twenty years, Barack could no more disown him than he could disown a family member.
Barack said this.
Then he claims the media exaggerated Rev. Wright's role as a mentor and spiritual advisor (even though the media got those words from Obama).
Then he disowns the man.
You're right he is steadfast and consistant!
Never to waiver from what he holds dear.

If Barack wants his wife to be off limits then she shouldn't be out there campaigning for him and talking about "when we are in the Whitehouse..."
While campaigning for her husband if she makes the statement "for the first time in my adult life I'm proud to be an american"; then both Barack and Michelle should be prepared to deal with a lot of raised eyebrows.
Not proud until now?
Barry is finally wearing a flag pin he must finally be proud too!

Barack Obama could use sign language and still look like a genius compared to what we have had to endure these last 8 years. I really don't believe you all have gone to the extreme by submitting article after article about his error in number of states, after the way Dumbya has said:
"I'm honoured to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein."
"Rarely is the question asked: 'Is our children learning?'"
"I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family."
"The point now is how do we work together to achieve important goals. And one such goal is democracy in Germany."
"It isn't pollution that is harming our atmosphere, it is the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
There's more!! Want me to post you some more of your hero's great words?? It would be my pleasure.

You forget that Bush makes jokes over his use of the language. Many people are like that. Liberals like to make it out that it means that he is stupid. But when their boy Obama does it we are picking on him.
Part of Obama's problem is sometimes he says something without thinking it through and then refuses to back down and admit it was off the cuff. An example is his answer to if he would meet Iran's president without pre conditions and said yes. That is stupid not to back off of. The president of the US meeting with anybody is an extremely big deal.
He is willing to meet with the president of Iran. This man has vowed to erase Israel and espouses the Islamic view of world domination by Islam. He also says that the Shiite imam descendant of Muhammad who died several hundred years ago is giving him guidance and approval in what he does. Think about the apparent approval the world and his country sees if a POTUS meets with him. Foolish.

He recently said he would do the same with Castro. Liberals are angry over the prison we have in Cuba. Nobody ever says anything about how the prisoners are treated under Castro or how they export their soldiers elsewhere. Prisoners are given starvation food and no medical treatment. If someone starts selling sandwiches from their house they are arrested and thrown in jail for crimes against the state. Where is the liberal outcry over this. And he wants to meet with someone who does this to his own people? Foolish.
Nothing he could ever say will change these peoples minds about anything unless he threatened force. You don't do that in face to face meetings. Diplomats do that.

"They misunderestimate me"
Bushisms - Dumb Quotes by President George "Dubyah" Bush BACK
When you're out there campaigning and talking to people, remind them what we have been through as a country. We've been through a recession - that means we're going backwards.
- George W. Bush, Hudson, Wisconsin, Aug. 18, 2004
Investment means you're purchasing something, and somebody has to make that which you purchase and sell that which you purchase. And that's how the economy works.
- George W. Bush, Hudson, Wisconsin, Aug. 18, 2004
I hope you leave here and walk out and say, 'What did he say?'
- George W. Bush, Beaverton, Oregon, Aug. 13, 2004
Saddam Hussein paid the families of suiciders.
- George W. Bush,, Las Vegas, Nevada, Aug. 12, 2004
That's why you've got to be careful about this rhetoric, we're only going to tax the rich. You know who the - the rich in America happen to be the small business owners. That's what that means.

The really rich people figure out how to dodge taxes anyway.

As you know, we don't have relationships with Iran. I mean, that's - ever since the late '70s, we have no contacts with them, and we've totally sanctioned them. In other words, there's no sanctions - you can't - we're out of sanctions.
- George W. Bush, forgetting about America's arms sales to Iran, Annandale, Va, Aug. 9, 2004
Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.

Bushisms:
Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a - you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities.
I cut the taxes on everybody. I didn't cut them. The Congress cut them. I asked them to cut them.
- George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Aug. 6, 2004
I wish I wasn't the war president. Who in the heck wants to be a war president? I don't.

We stand for things.

I mean, if you've ever been a governor of a state, you understand the vast potential of broadband technology, you understand how hard it is to make sure that physics, for example, is taught in every classroom in the state. It's difficult to do. It's, like, cost-prohibitive.

Can't get over the fact that gore lost fair and square can you. You can't get over the fact that Bush jokes about how he mangles the language.
I have a couple of books about some peoples gaffes like that. Casey Stengel and Yogi Berra are two of my favorites. These men did outstanding things in baseball both as players and managers. They both make Bush seem gaffe free.
Get over it. Obama does it too. The problem is some of them are not just mangling the language and are more serious.

I believe the comments are supposed to be about Obama and his misspeaks, we all know Bush has millions of them - the media likes to point that out. The media only portrays Barack as a rising star, rock star, our hope, the messiah. I was sick of the sycophants in the media months ago.
I am just amazed at how Barack and Hillary have about the same number in popular vote (roughly 17 million each). The media has shredded Hillary for 16 months while they have only extolled the virtuous Obama.
Yet the popular vote totals are this close?
Face it he doesn't stand a chance in the general election.
President Obama? Ha!!!
and nottoneedy I do beleive that man and fish can coexsist.

So have you heard BHO tonight? He was laying into Pres Carter for meeting with Hamas saying that he would never meet with terrorists.
Alright, let's see if I get this straight. If you publicly call yourself a terrorist group, that's bad and you cannot meet with representatives of the US government. (Never mind that Pres Carter is a now a private citizen) But if you are the leader of a nation privately funding terrorist groups, that still allows you an audience with the American President???
BHO is still too wet behind the ears for this job. He should have stuck to his original time table.
