Interesting story about this song and the CD it is from:
After his success with Wham! and the blockbuster solo debut, "Faith," George Michael wanted desperately to move beyond the MTV poster boy / teen idol image. He wanted to be taken seriously as an artist. In the late summer of 1990, we got this single, "Praying for Time," which had a video consisting only of words splashed on and dark background. The album "Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1" soon followed and he stayed true to his word not to use his image in the videos from the album...in fact, his leather jacket from the "Faith" video is set on fire in the video for "Freedom '90"...
