So far, he's still here in Massachusetts. He'll have to head out to several training schools including Ranger school before deploying. So we don't yet know where he will get sent.
I'm no dove. I know we must be ever vigilant. There are petty dictators and selfish, power-hungry leaders all around the world who would come and grab all we have struggled to build if they had any chance of getting away with it.
But I truly believe the Iraq war should never have been authorized and never been fought. Trouble is it was authorized and is being fought. I pray we don't make things worse by needlessly attacking Iran while we have troops stationed right across their border.
Happy Memorial Day to you too, and to all here on Propeller. And as to who I root for, My son can choose his heroes, but old habits die hard. Navy every time!
