It's 4 dollars a gallon here right now and most places a little over by the time I hit the road this weekend it will probably be 4.10 or more. I'm going out soon to fill up before the evening rush hour traffic, I know by then they will raise it again. Sometimes I've seen it change three times in one day. This is BS!!!!!

What? Only $4 plus a gallon? Chicken scratch and chump change. With this booming Bush economy, great jobs with benefits galore, soaring stock market, huge tax cuts - hell, we're all gettin' so rich and prosperous that $5 or $6 a gallon won't even make us blink. Gotta help out those starving oil companies. Some more tax credits would help. Also, the more we pay for gas the more we help out our new democracy loving friends in Iraq and the Middle East.
Go Bush! Go McCain! Mission accomplished!

It costs about $63 to fill my pacifica. That is why I am thinking about traveling to visit my kids by Amtrak that would cost me $40 bucks roundtrip. I am hoping that Amtrak will set up more train stations along their routes.
Some people were interviewed in Shreveport, concerning the high price of gasoline, one man was riding a bike and another said he was on his way to buy one.
Thanks STONERS.

I have damn well changed my driving habits, I live a half hour from a market and an hour from a supermarket.
I have a Dodge Cummins pickup which get around 20 mpg if driven gently, so we now make just one trip now and again to shop, post office etc. My Peterbilt is parked because the freight rates do not justify the $1200.00 it takes to fuel the thing. I worry that food which is so transportation dependent will become either scarce or so expensive that it will cause financial hardships on lower income families..
