Golly I wonder why we used them. Oh yeah, it was because Japan attacked us, had conducted suicidal defenses of one island after another and planned a massive suicidal defense in anticipation of Operation Olympic the planned U.S. invasion of Japan. The U.S. military conservatively planned for one million U.S. casualties. Today, we use the same supply of Purple Heart Medals made in anticipation of the invasion of Japan. How about telling the real historical story instead of simply stating that the U.S. is the only country to ever use nuclear weapons. That is clearly and purposely making a misleading point.
