Is it more or less outrageous than when Ronald Reagan told Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir and Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal, that he had been part of the crew who had filmed concentration camps, even though his Army service was spent in Hollywood making training films, never abroad?

During the latter part of World War II, Reagan's job involved viewing film shot by military cameramen and war correspondent photographers. He assembled the selected shots into briefing films for senior officers.
