Now all those people who were comparing Kobe to Jordan will finally shut up.

The Celtics wanted it more and they took it. Better balance, better team.

How my Cavs extended them to 7 when Kobe's Lakers only survived 5 is beyond me

OK, I'll have a Yebisu Draft, KBS.

(Just love this result, though I'm only quaffing a Kirin Tanrei at the moment)

I hearf Kobe asking the media to not compare him to MJ,,, heck that would be like a golfer in the future trying to fill Tiger's shoes

            wouldn't be as fair

            golf is one guy

Wilt proved eons ago that one man don't equal a championship

Jordan proved it too. Dropped 63 on the Celts and still lost

Any team sport its hard to compare, but Kobe doesn't even match up in a flat statistical way with Jordan, let alone the 6 titles and all the other personal accomplishments, so I was getting annoyed with all the Kobe/Jordan comparisons

As an old Cavs fan, you could say I'm somewhat familiar with Jordan's work

If I remember correctly, Jordan and the Bulls knocked Cleveland out of the playoffs 5 out of 7 years

Think about all the great players and teams Jordan kept from winning titles, the Jazz with Malone and Stockton, Portland, Cleveland, the Knicks with Ewing, Indiana with Miller and so on

I'm convinced the only reason Houston snuck in there is because Jordan wanted to try baseball for awhile.

anyway, the Celtics played great defense and played with heart, while the Lakers frankly looked confused for half the series

Yep, if I couldn't have the Cavs, who's better than Boston? I sort of noticed at work (PT)that a "certain type" rooted for the Lakers, made me want Boston to win all the more. Way to go and best wishes to all Boston fans.
