Tao Te Ching, a short tract written in the 6th century B.C. in China governs the religion of Taoism or Daoism. Taoism can be compared with Confucianism for sharing certain similar concepts like close relationship of man with nature and universe, worship of ancestors, the cyclical view of time and the idea of the divinity of the sovereign.
