The logic of resistance »
Posted By jovial 1 year, 5 months ago in NewsIt should be apparent that the problem in Palestine is not just simply a problem of checkpoints, human rights abuses, the wall, home demolitions, the architecture of occupation or even the siege of Gaza; the core of the problem is the illegal theft, colonization and occupation of a whole country.

Some posters have attacked me in the past for posting stories that sympathize with Palestinians. Well I didn't listen. They have a valid point and until the Israeli's accept it, they will have fodder. Let me say, however, that the violence on both sides needs to stop. The U.S> role in this shouldn't be to take sides, but to actually defund the military escalation. Today the U.S. just pledged another 170 million in military aide to Israel. WHY? Didn't Israel just do a mock bombing run on Iran? Maybe that's the reason for the additional aide. Are we using the aggressive tendencies of our ally to fight our war by proxy?

Israel did and does prepare for a possible Iranian attack against Israel. It is both legal and reasonable to do. If Iran will not try to attack Israel nothing will happen. Israel does not have any reasons to attack Iran nor will it gain anything from attacking it. On the other hand, Iran did and does declare that Israel should be destroyed.
If the US will stop supporting Israel Iranian and Arab leaders will see it as a green light for an attack resulting in a large scale nuclear war that will certainly damage and, possibly, destroy the human civilization as we know it.
The only valid point Palestinians may have is their willingness to live in peace (if it exist, of course). If and when the Palestinians will declare their wilingness to stop violence and negotiate peace Israel will listen.

Yes, you did not listen and for very good reason. If you did you would show the STATEMENT IN THE UN PARTITION RESOLUTION 181 saying that "all of it (the land in Palestine)" belongs to the Arabs, wouldn't you?
Alternatively, you would admit that your claim that according to the UN Partition Resolution 181 "all of it (the land in Palestine)" belonged to the Arabs was A LIE.
...but you did not listen...

I think everyone commenting on this article should seriously read some history. I am not speaking of propaganda, I speaking of history.
Start back in the 1880's about the Russian Pogroms and go forward thru the first race riot in I believe 1920.
As I recall from my history reading, when the Pogroms began there were very few Jews in Palestine. The Palestinians offered to take the Russian Jews in so that they could live in peace with their Palestinian brothers.
And things were OK until there became a sizeable number (about 10% of the population ) of Jews in Palestine. Also the Zionist movement was busy at work fomenting discord between the residents of Palestine.
Lord Balfour later got into the act, convincing the Jews that the Palestinian lands weere theirs by God's decree.
As they say the rest is history.
I choose to say that after WWII the Jews put their learned Nazi inhumanity to work on the arabs of Palestine.
For Shame.

Can you show a link to your history reading if you don't mind? I'm somewhat confused with it because in the 1880 the 'Palestinians' were unknown to the world.
As a matter of fact, the Palestinian Brigade that was fighting the Nazis as a part of the British Army 60 years later consisted entirely of... Jews.
The first time the definition of 'Palestinians' as "Arabs who lived in Palestine" was in 1968 when the Palestinian National Charter was published and the Palestinian nation was created.
In addition, there is another little problem with your statement above. In 1880 Palestine was a part of the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) so it would be the Turks (and not the yet non-existing Palestinians) who would "offer to take the Russian Jews in"... but this would be in the REAL world, of course.

Well, the Nazis REDUCED the number of Jews in Europe by 60%.
ON the other hand, the number of Jews in Israel INCREASED TEN TIMES since 1948... LOL

The entire State of Israel is a hostile and illegal "settlement" created amid the Arab population of the area by imposition of force. The establishment of Zionist communities in the area of the West Bank is merely a continuation of activities which have been ongoing for more than a century.

As usual, I have to express my appreciation to all posters giving a NEGATIVE BUT NO REPLY to what I've said.
A NEGATIVE means (or at least, suggests) that the person giving it READ MY STATEMENT.
NO REPLY means that this person AGREED WITH EVERY WORD I'VE SAID. If it was not the case he/she would say what, in his/her opinion, was wrong.
