Posted By Aidenag 1 year, 4 months ago in News

A recent USA Today/Gallup poll finds about two in three Americans concerned that John McCain would pursue policies as president that are too similar to what George W. Bush has pursued. Nearly half -- 49% -- say they are "very concerned" about this.

    Me too!

Except that its why he won't get elected, with Obama not getting sufficient scrutiny.

The frothing and raving of the rabid right cannot be parsed as any form of sane or rational argument which, paradoxically is why he is getting a virtual free pass.

What also puzzles me is how McCain can expect a nation to support a war that was ill-conceived, promoted dishonestly, is admittedly about oil. His recent fearmongering tactics suggest that if we "lose" (whatever that stupid concept means) AlQueda will grow stronger in Iraq. How ridiculous! AlQueda was never in Iraq until well after we occupied the country.

In essence, McCain is telling Americans that we are there to fight AlQueda, to establish a democracy, and to protect Iraqi oil for our needs. McCain is trying to resell the war that should have never been waged. How will that fly when Americans go to the polls in November?

Unless Bush and McCain are planning to "allow" a terrorist attack on U.S. soil, I hope the Amerian people could not possibly be that stupid to extend the Bush administration's policies for another four years. It will destroy our nation from the inside as it is doing now.

Sameness is what we Christian Conservatives demand of him.

I wish you libbies would understand. See, we have a very well defined set of Moral Codes that we live by. And it p-isses us off to no end that you libbies are forever trying to alter these ABSOLUTE Moral Codes.

And because we have Absolute Moral Codes ... we support McCain ... because his absolute moral codes NOW resemble those of GW..

Course, its taken him about 9 months to CHANGE all his previous moral codes to match up with our UNshakable moral codes.

But we shall ultimately prevail because our Christian Conservative moral codes are so clearly defined...

      What are they, you ask?

      - War ... war is one. We REALLY believe in war as a primary foreign relations tool.

      - Lying to go to war.... We figure, there must be a good reason for a Born Again Christian to lie bout war ... liek ... maybe hes fightin Satan.

      - Protectin Polluters ... we believe in exercisin our will to trash this planet.

McSame. No new ideas, just the same old saber-rattling, secretive, Lieberman loving, bullcrap. If America elects this guy, then they have no one to blame but themselves if we continue to lose our world stature.

Sen. Obama says that HE is the candidate who offers "change" and "hope." Sen. McCain, surrounded by the same advisers who have led the current president so far away from sane and productive paths of government, offers "continuity" and "security."

My name is not Linus, and I never needed a security blanket. I will vote for the candidate who offers "change" from the current mismanagement and ill-conceived policies and I will "hope" for the best for my country.

You all have every reason to be concerned. You had a chance to get rid of the great "decider/uniter" four years ago and failed to do so.

What makes you think clearer minds will prevail this time?

America not only needs a change in the White House, it must impeach Bush. Not to do so would send a message to the rest of the world that the American people sanctioned Bush's actions.

I am not worried at all that McCain will be like Bush.

I am VERY worried that Obama will be just like Karl Marx.

He is a Marxist and his plans are to make us a Marxist nation.

There is no doubt about that.

Wake up you left wing idiots. Stop being so racist and vote on the issues instead of falling for Obama's Marxist trash.

Obama recently announced that not only does he embrace Der Bush's Faith-Based Theocracy, he intends to expand it!

So maybe Americans should worry that OBAMA is too much like Bush!

From height of arrogance to height of hypocrisy. That is best way to put a "Bush to McCain" transition.

"Americans Worry McCain Would Be Too Similar to Bush"

No way - McCain doesn't have as many nervous ticks as Dubya - although he winks just as obsessively as the Little Bantam Rooster when addressing a crowd!

Also, despite his affluent wife, McCain does not (yet) have a 1500-acre spread...

Open letter to Senator Obama: Now is not the time to raise taxes. Also, see for yourself in the daily news. What has government done right? Very little. Not required to be competent when only push paper. Kiss but and who you know.

What has government actually done right? Close to zero.

McCain faces a challenge in trying to convince voters to allow him to follow an unpopular president of the same party. Democratic candidate Barack Obama has attempted to link McCain to Bush by saying that electing McCain would effectively lead to a "third Bush term." Although McCain remains competitive in head-to-head matchups with Obama, the poll suggests that McCain may have more work to do to distance himself from Bush.
