A great deal is made of the new electoral map but the bottom line is simply this...When looking at Florida, Pennsylvania, and Ohio..the candidate that wins two out of three of these is almost assured (not definite) of winning the White House. Polls thus far show McCain doing well in Florida and Obama up by 6 or so in Pennsylvania. Currently Ohio seems to be up for grabs as Obama has only a 2 percentage point advantage there.

Add Michigan into that mix and, darkhorse, New Jersey because of the corruption scandals.

May be a reason for McCain to choose Rob Portman as his VP.

Florida, like Alabama, is saturated with pro repug lies... I hope the repugs runout of money so they are reduced in their ability to perpetrate lies and deceptions on hard working Americans!

FLA is much closer than repubs think.

the rasmussen poll has McCain up 7, but the Quinnipiac poll has Obama up 4.

all the polls avgd together have McCain up just 2.2 points. and the spread is moving Obama's directin, not McCain's.

Ohio has obama up 4.5 points when the polls are avgd together.

and the Penn polls have Obama up big.

            The most important NATIONAL POLL:

and that doesn't include the Newsweek poll that has Obama up by 15 points.
