So, Obama is a lib/centrist and his followers are rabid; but McC who is also a lib/centrist is supported by those who are righteous, God fearing Americans ????ROTFLMAO.

      Yeh... some people see McCain as more Liberal than Conservative. So quiet a few Centrist Conservatives fell that they have no candidate in the race. Which is interesting in that quiet a few Centrist Liberals feel the same way.

    JoseMadre, I think you nailed it, except Obama's moves don't seem so tentative to me. He's trying to justify them, of course.
    I still think Obama could win by a landslide, because he has the young and minority machine Carter had going for him. In fact, only a poor running mate choice on Obama's part and a good one on McCain's part--or a huge Obama blunder and a relatively calm McCain candidacy could save McCain, IMO.
