    Just had a radio show host, roast a mom on air for views similar to this, seems parents have lost the ability to teach.
    Or is it all this university thinking that replaces common sense.
    My view is no matter how smart you were in school, life is what teaches you your values and ethics.

The child is beautiful, but would she not be just as beautiful without phony lashes, and hair exentions? Mommy is trying to live vicariously through the child. I feel sorry for the child, because she won't be adored in the real world, and will have a difficult time adjusting.

Good lord! 600 dollars a month?! Not to mention that the age of the girl! The most troubling part of this (even including spending 52,000 dollars on gifts for the girl!) is the final statement, by the girl:
"I don't need brains."

This is entirely about Mom. Her daughter would only think what her mom allowed her to think. A sad commentary for someone who calls themself a parent. She's raising herself. Too bad she will only fail again, since she is obviously missing something big in herself. They will both pay the price for that. But mostly her daughter will.

Jon Benet Ramsey comes to mind immediately... however, I'm sure there's quite a bit of the personal side left out of this and it's spun the way we've received it... "I just want her to be famous" is kind of a giveaway to the intent here--Brooke Shields comes to mind in that case, she was younger than this girl and doing magazine covers. She may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but she makes more money than any of us do. And she had no problem feeding the BS that Tom Cruise was spewing, right back to his dumb ass.
I tend to agree, however, with whoever it was that said "let kids be kids." I also feel badly for the "Geek graduates from Oxford at 4, publishes textbooks and paints like Picasso" stories too. What a childhood.
Oh yeah, look's like Mom's had a little surgical help there, too. At least she hasn't put the kid in for breast enlargement yet.
