All I can say is "WOW" after watching that match. I'm not a huge tennis fan, but this match had enough drama to keep me glued to my seat for hours. Even if you're not a tennis fan, you had to appreciate the effort involved on both sides. This match was definitely 'one for the ages'.

This was the most exciting game that I have ever watched. I loved it and have followed Nadal in his venture to become No. 1 on the grass. Spain has had such a great year.

Rafa Nadal and his family are such a humble people. I truly respect them for their Sportsmanship and Love of their family. Congrats to Rafa !

They could here me yelling across town...WOW is right

        Sorry I missed this!

I've been following Wimbledon for more than 50 years but this year was travelling and dealing with family marriages and deaths and didn't give it a thought.

I heard the result on BBC news and it was obviously something very, very special.. Both the players were extremely respectful of their opponent in the radio interview.

As a Czech exile, for me the most exciting was in 1954 when the ageing 11th seeded other Czech exile Jaroslav Drobny beat a very young Ken Rosewall in a 4 set-match of 58 games.. Another marathon.

Sorry that you missed this one gamahuche, it really was a great match . I was crying at one point and screaming at the next.

I use to be a Federer fan until I started hearing this Nadal name. With him being from Spain and all it was only natural to start cheering for Rafa..
