of course it wasn't really open to the public. they lied because they knew the press wouldn't embarrass them about it.

the browshirts have not gone away, and probably won't.

I thought these townhall events were where he shone like a shining beacon?

Isn't that why our domestic neo cons up-chucked one of their anti-Obama threads because O declined to spend his whole time campaigning in musty little town halls debating w. John McCain?

    So much for that!

FTA [sounds like this litle lady was onto something - you'd have thought she offered him a perfect opportunity to defend his record]

McCain and Bush: The same record on the economy

Senator McCain was in town to speak about his economic agenda, outlining more of the same failed policies of George W. Bush. McCain's plan, like Bush's gives break after break to millionaires and wealthy corporations, but does little for middle class families.

Bush said, "The fundamentals are strong. We're just in a rough patch." (Los Angeles Times, 2/2/08).

McCain said, "I still believe our fundamental underpinnings of our economy are strong." (CNN 1/22/08). McCain actively supports Bush's failed policies. According to Congressional Quarterly, McCain supported President Bush a majority of the time-supporting Bush as much as 100 percent in 2008 and 95 percent in 2007. [CQ Voting Studies, Accessed, 5/15/08]

      Hmm..

      LOOKS like Bush minus hair

SOUNDS like Bush plus a little eloquence and minus some malapropism

      Lets forget the other senses..

So much for free speech in an open political forum.

I can see them not allowing her to bring in the sign, as it might block others and is too big for a single seat. However, to deny her the right to attend an open town hall meeting, that is unconstitutional imo, and this is just another example of why McCain is McSame. More ******ing on our constitutional rights and lying to America.

The nutwingers are trying to force through a law that allows Disney employees (and someday customers) to bring guns onto Disney property.

But the same fascists don`t have a problem with McCain/Bush kicking regular Americans out of open public debates because the regular American does not drink the kool-aid.

There`s only one amendment that counts to these people, and that is definitely not the 1st, the 4th, or the 10th.

Gee golly. I thought McCain welcomed town meetings. Someone should tell him they aren't about fawning over a politician.

Typical. When anti abortion activists came and protested outside an Obama rally in Illinois He talked to them himself outside the rally and invited them in. This was when he was running for Senator in Illinois but show clearly the difference between the two candidates.
