Because the Bible actually forbids homosexuality but not inter racial marriage.

The Bible forbids eating shellfish too. Oh, and not everyone is Christian.

Believe it or not, the Bible has been used to justify segregation, even to this day:

"The Apostle Paul: Acts 17:24-28 says that God made man "and hath determined the bounds of their habitation." Genesis 28:1, says that the Canaanites (blacks) were the "servants of servants" and Isaac called Jacob and said unto him, "Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.""

I'm sorry, Drop, which article of the Constitution states that the Book of Leviticus is US law?

Nice try at confusing the issue. My point was that there clearly is a Biblical basis for banning homosexual marriage but not inter-racial marriage.

That didn't refer to people of another race, they were all Semites, but rather people of a different religion.

That is your interpretation. White supremacist organizations use that verse to support their notions of misogenation. The verse WAS used in the past as well as 'clearly banning interracial marriage'.

To your point, if that verse of the Bible forbids inter-faith marriage, shouldn't THAT be against the law?

The Bible forbids LOTS of things that somehow haven't made it into US law books
