McCain shows ignorance regarding birth control »
Posted By RickyDawkins 1 year, 5 months ago in NewsThis video of John McCain is truly incredible. The simple answer should have been that insurance companies should, indeed, cover birth control pills. But McCain was incoherent. This is not the first time McCain has shown profound ignorance on birth control and sexuality. Here's the Straight-Talk Express at work:

The problem is that he is trying to hold onto the radical right, which wants to outlaw all effective birth control. See also, here, regarding the political positions on birth control pushed by those bastions of misinformation, "Pregnancy Resource Centers," which dot the land, often well-funded by tax dollars. The Republicans are controlled by those who believe that they should control when and how you feel sexual pleasure.
Also check out McCain's ignorance on the relationship between condom use and HIV:
http://dangerousintersection.org/2007/03/16/joh...
As you can see, then, even when you set aside the issue of abortion, Republicans are further determined to tell you if, when and how to get pregnant. How can they not see that this should be a decision left to individuals? The answer is that Republicans are pandering to the radical "religious" Right.

"Republicans are pandering to the radical 'religious' Right."
And Karl Rove is at the helm, to incite hysteria at election-time for greatest effect at energizing the indoctrinated--a proven formula. Will they buy it yet a 3rd time?!

"condom use and HIV"
This story give the condoms an 80% prevention rating. I say things like that and all the liberals start saying it isn't so. What that means is if a person has sex with an HIV person 5 times it is very likely they will get the disease. What good protection you safe sex fools promote. That is worse than the consumer reports normal use statistics for condoms. Of course it leaves out that some STD's go right through a condom so they are no protection at all for those diseases.
Good subject to bring up Rickey. How bad condoms are. Think about the statistics you are promoting.

If it were anyone else, or any other group of people (the backers), I'd say: "Incredible"!
But this is John McChicanery. The better title would be just "John McCain shows his ignorance. Period!
I remember a song by Gene Vincent called, "Sleepy Eyed John".
Look at those vacant lifeless eyes. The only time they show any spark is when he is angry (usually caught in a lie).
The Agnos crowd think he has balls. Balls over brains are what I prefer, every time I breed you cows...Moo!
Lol!
Brains are trump!

I THINK HIS REACTION HAS MORE TO DO WITH THE GENERATION HE WAS BORN IN. BIRTH CONTROL WAS PRETTY LIMITED BEFORE THE 60'S. BUT THE ERA OF FREE LOVE BROUGHT WITH IT BIRTH CONTROL THAT WAS THE WOMAN'S RESPONSIBILITY & MOST OF US HAD ENOUGH SENSE TO USE THE PILL, WHICH BY THE WAY IS FREE AT MOST HEALTH DEPARTMENTS FOR WOMEN WHO CANNOT AFFORD IT. I FEEL IF HEALTH CARE WILL PAY SO A MAN CAN GET IT UP, THEN IT CERTAINLY SHOULD PAY SO WOMAN CAN STAY SAFE FROM PREGNANCY & VD.

Good Lord, let's face facts. Most people who need birth control are too lazy to use it anyway.
Those who want it most are just looking for a way to pass on costs to other for their drugs. These are the smart people who are not going to have an "unexpected pregnancy" (a term that shows how Liberalism is eroding civilization), and want me to subsidize protection measures for their recreational activities.
I guess after they get AIDS via oral transfer, I'm going to be expected to pay for that too.
Wake up, America.

Typical Republican neo con fear mongering at work.
Same goes for McCain too. It will be the death for seniors, the poor and the needy as he will end social security & medicare.

LOL
You have never lived through the liberal president talking about taxing the rich in the election and when the law is passed the rich are the middle class on up. Strange how that works. Carter did it. Clinton did it.
Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush lowered the tax rates and the revenue increased. Strange isn't it. Seems that people change their behavior when money is concerned. Increase taxes on the rich and the money goes where it can't be taxed. Lower them and they put it in places where it will make them more money with the taxes. The government gets more money. We want the rich peoples money out where it can be taxed. Something Liberals never understand.
