You are funny. Why are they not drilling. If there were easy enough oil to get there would be pumps there now pumping the oil. The companies make money by getting the oil and selling it. Of course you Liberals always see them as a conspiracy to gouge people. All businesses are out to do that.

      Get a life.

        And his intelligence is underwhelming.

Must be that infamous neocon miseducation rearing its ugly head again.

          ENDOSCOPY:

"you Liberals always see them as a conspiracy to gouge people."

          It's not called a conspiracy; it's called a cartel -- and it's well documented.

          http://www.cbc.ca/money/story/2005/07/15/enron-...

"Enron has reached a deal to settle allegations that it gouged California consumers during the energy shortage in 2000 and 2001. The deal gives California $47 million US cash. As well, the state joins Oregon and Washington as an unsecured creditor in Enron's bankruptcy. The states are owed almost $1.5 billion."

          http://www.allbusiness.com/retail-trade/food-st...

"Dynergy, a major player in the California energy crisis of 2000 and 2001, has settled with the state over charges of price gouging for $259 million. 'This settlement provides Californians with a measure of justice from one of the most rapacious pirates of the energy crisis,' said California Attorney General Bill Lockyer in a written statement."
