  I can see you are not familar with the draft...I am. Believe me...rich kids don't get drafted. There are draft deferments like college, business needs, and other loop holes for the rich and famous. :) No, the draft won't change a darn thing.
  It's always been the working classes and poor who fight our wars mainly, with few exceptions.

      I think we need to take a few steps back and have another look.
      The straitforward thing would be to end the war, not to start the draft. But that presupposes that we run the government, which we don't. Our "representatives" don't even feel obliged to adhere to the constitutional dictum that Congress and Congress alone has the power to declare war.
      So we can talk about a draft, and talk about ending the war, but it appears that neither will happen until the elites which run this country decide that those measures are in THEIR interest.
      The topic of this thread just underscores that. Although our "leaders" blather about supporting the troops, that is just to dupe the chumps in the cheap seats - those who fight this war are as disposable as handi-wipes - what is important is that Exxon and Raytheon and KBR are making big bucks.
