These are publicly made "Quotes"...So they can't even shoot the messenger this time..
Hmmmm, a young dynamic Commander in Chief who thinks like it's the 21st century, or an aging and bitter battle worn commander in Chief, who takes his marching orders from rich angry old men and, who still thinks like it's 1970?? I wonder who would be our best leader?

  I don't expect that this person will be available for interviews any time soon.

    What does one say to this? First they (this administration) implement 2 of Obama's plans. 1. Talk to Iran. 2. Bring the troops home from Iraq. Now this! It looks to me like they are throwing McCain under the buss but why?
    Maybe it's all legit but knowing these guys I worry.

    Yes, al-Maliki's statement was mistranslated, but not in the way you think.
    al-Maliki agrees with Obama that U.S. troops need to be redeployed; they only differ on their estimates, as Obama has estimated the redeployment could occur in as little as 16 months, whereas al-Maliki believes it will take 3-5 years. However, al-Maliki staunchly opposes the kind of long-term military presence in Iraq Bush proposes and the 100-year military bases in Iraq McCain wants.
    Ultimately, al-Maliki agrees with Obama that troops need to be redeployed but:
    1) al-Maliki's timeline differs slightly from Obama's
    2) al-Maliki doesn't want to appear like he's taking sides because he doesn't know who's going to win yet

    al-Maliki agrees with Obama that troops need to be redeployed but:
    1) al-Maliki's timeline differs slightly from Obama's, but substantially from Bush's proposed permanent military presence and McCain's proposed establishment of 100-year military bases
    2) al-Maliki doesn't want to appear like he's taking sides in the election because he doesn't know who's going to win yet.
    Literacy - it's a wonderful thing. You should try it sometime.
