He seemed to stutter over and over. And he's again wrong. Crude oil prices dropped as soon as the President lifted the executive ban, without benefit of Congress doing anything. That was the flip side of speculation.
And, NO ONE has argued that it would have no impact on prices. Most agree it would have negligible impact at the pump. Many think that speculation would drive the price of crude oil down, however.
And he talks about refineries and pumps being at capacity. Why is that, you ask? Could it be because Congress won't allow new refineries to be built, even though they would be as much as 30% more efficient?
What a tool.
