Obama's health plan is a vast waste of time and resources. Like other attempts to fix this particular chicken coop without getting rid of the weasels.
Iffn you want to fix US health care, you have to eliminate profiteering by both medical insurers and medical providers. A single-payor system with price caps and aggressive prosecution of fraud and abuse would go a long way towards that.
But Obama would never propose that, it would be unfriendly to the AMA, the AHA and Big Pharma. Better to sell something that looks like reform but isn't- it'll get the votes of the chumps who want desparately to believe, and won't incur the wrath of Corporate Medicine.
