Forget the levees??? Are you crazy or don't you understand what that means.
Think about New Orleans where the stupid people who were supposed to keep the levee's in good condition used the money to build statues and create parks etc. all the while lining their own pockets.
Then of course it was time to blame Bush when the first responders are the local and state governments, and the Mayor said every man for themselves for evacuation because they had not made a plan for where the buses would go.

I was up all night waiting for Dolly and she's just now (11:15 a.m.) making her presence known. Rain, as opposed to sprinkling, is now coming down and the wind has picked up.

I am about 70 miles inland from Brownsville and 10 miles north of McAllen.

The much-touted levees are nothing but piles of dirt, so if they get soaked through, we'll see plenty of mudslides, I guess.

Not looking for much damage, if any, at my apartment complex. Just hope the electric lines aren't blown down.

Yeesh. My Dad is in Brownsville.

He seems considerably less worried than I am.

Seriously? At first I hated the new Propeller too, however, the more I got to playing with it the more I REALLY really like it.

                  Give it a chance.
