Well of course for any of Hagge's beliefs to come to fruition Lieberman will have to repent or perish! How intelligent does that make Lieberman?

Lieberman is little more than Tel Aviv's representative from Connecticut. He hardly represents the interests of America. Israel is not the 51st State nor a U.S. Commonwealth. This cretin neocon is responsible, along with his neocon cohorts for massive damage to this country and her reputation.

Teech, I still have no idea who these evil neocons are, and you're completely out of touch with main-stream conservatives if you think McCain-Lieberman would be exciting. It would only forward my notion that McCain is the best Democrat running this year.

He holds the same beliefs as Dick Cheney on foreign policy. That is why he is scorned. I have said it before, it isn't so much that the neocons were wrong in trying to secure that Iraqi oil, it is the way they went about it. Lying to and deceiving the American public. They are simply not honest men. At least Gore would not have given Lieberman the leeway Bush gave Cheney. Iraq was a mistake, nothing they can pull out of the hat will change that. When we leave we will truly see what we have wrought. Likely that we will once again have armed a potential future foe. It won't be the first time. Things will change 180 in Iraq when we leave. A strongman (Maliki? doubtful) will again emerge. And we will be left with the quandary of whether we should go back in.

And why does Lieberman consistently put the interests of Israel ahead of our own nation? Who exactly does he represent?

Lieberman is a man of integrity. That is something that is not seen in a lot of politicians especially Democrats lately. Of course since he has a disagreement with the Liberals over one issue they treat him like dirt. This is part of the hypocrisy in the Democratic party these days. Both parties have had in past a tolerance for disagreement over a few ideas and still welcome the person because they hold to the rest. It is sad that the Democrats have come to this.
Hagee has written on Revelation several times. That is where all the criticism comes from. I defy anyone to accurately tell what Danial, Revelation, and other pertinent prophesies say in plain English. Eschatology is a very difficult concept and there are warnings that it is to be is hidden.

That is eschatology and comes right out of Revelation. Go and read it. Eschatology is the future events as talked about in the Bible. If you don't like it go talk to John the Disciple of Jesus. It is a type of literature that is very difficult to understand. There is the allusion of the ***** on the seven hills (Rome). The usual understanding is that a ***** is a church that has rejected Jesus. There is the battle of Armageddon. This is to take place on the plane of Megiddo and if you go to the excavation in the city of Megiddo you will see a sign about the future battle there.
If you don't like theological talks then don't listen to them. listen to something else.

Joe Lieberman was dissed by the Democrat part long before he sided with McCain in the election cycle. The Democrats forced him out of the party when he last ran for Senator. That is the reason he is listed as an independent now. Get your facts in a true time line.

Most Biblical scholars acknowledge that the eschatology of Revelations referred to events in Rome and the end of the Roman empire, and not to the end of the world in the sense that Christians usually attempt to portray it.

Your ignorance abounds in the topic of eschatology. Eschatology means the study of FUTURE times. There are 4 main viewpoints about the apocalyptic literature in the Bible. The end of the Roman empire was NEVER considered what this literature is talking about. The sack of Jerusalem was only looked at as a prototype. It tells about the end times not the end of the Roman empire. The word apocalypse meant "revealed" and because it was the old name of Revelation it has taken on new meanings. It tells of what will happen before the second return of Jesus. Again there are 4 different versions of what will come in the future. Hagee is using one of those. I believe it is the pretribulation, premilllinium version.

Revelation is the hallucinations of a madman. John of Patmos -ranting at Rome, throwing all of a nonexistent God's power against that entity. Sure you can say Rome represents the infidel. The continual use of the number 7 to denote "the city of seven hills" aka Rome. Anyone who reads Revelation should know this. That does not make this a valid document regarding the way the world will end. Nothing but faith gives it that status. Misguided faith at that.

Put anyone on an island isolated from mankind for several years and see if it doesn't seriously affect their mental health? Yet some use this nonsense for the basis of their very being. Believing that the known life on Earth is secondary to the complete unknown. Like the majority of religious teaching this is taught through immersion and subjugation. Just as the Koran is imprinted into impressionable minds by memorization and repitition.

If this is prophesy it is tacked-on prophesy. This piece was necessary for instilling fear, the fear of the the judgement it indicates is coming. Without that fear subjugation into religion becomes much more difficult. Really modern man should be much wiser although it is not surprising that ancient man bought into this. But have we learned nothing in the succeeding centuries?

Your view of what the Island of Patmos was is incredibly wrong. It was a prison colony and he had his scribe with him. He had communication with the outside world and was able to convert many on the island with him.
This prophecy dovetails with other prophetic parts of the Bible in the Old and New Testament. How was a madman able to do that?
John was the last of the Disciples to be alive and when he died he was a respected leader. Your ignorant ramblings are done with hatred of what Christianity is all about

Lieberman may have enough integrity left to not be a card carrying member of the GOP, but that's about where it ends. And I doubt he'll retain that last shred for much longer, shameless warmongering hawk that he is.

Hagee is a participant in the Christian Zionist lobby. Their agenda is to bring about the second coming of christ so they can go to heaven. This won't happen (according to legend) unless Israel takes possession of the Holy land, so they lobby on Israel's behalf to give them protection. Lieberman is Jewish. He worries about the state of Israel, which is understandable. However, he has sold his soul to the crazy christian right to protect Israel's interests. He has allowed 'church' to replace his responsibility to the US Constitution, and he should step down. The christian zionists do not want the Palestinians to have their own place in the Holy land. It would mess up their fairy tale that would get them in 'heaven.' This fiasco is in the worst interest of the US, & of the Israeli people.

Thank you for explaining it further, ML2007. The reason there is no sign of peace in that region is that the christian zionists do NOT want Israel to give up that Holy place. When I think of what they've done, and the lives that have been destroyed there, it makes me sick. It's my understanding that many Israeli's don't like what's happening either, including with their Zionists. They want peace, but it's not going to happen with the power these very crazy people have grabbed.

I'm sorry. Was there some discussion about Lieberman becoming McCain's VP choice? I believe that this will kill that for good.

She was doing it when I started on this site. She doesn't live in this country and hates conservative here and for some reason a liberal man like Lieberman. The only thing that separates Lieberman from the rest of the Democrats is his view of the war. From her comment she must be antisemitic.

Your earlier comment was very antisemitic. Is that what you are? Joe Leiberman is in line with Democrats except for his view of the war. And for that you call a liberal person a pig. Hang your head in shame. That is disgusting. I am almost totally opposed to what he stands for but I respect him for standing by his core beliefs. I would vote for him in a heartbeat over Obama because he does not waver in what he stands for. He has never changed unless the situation changed. Obama lately blows with the wind.

I am of the opinion that the pastors of the two hopefuls for presidency take or have taken to much influence on the campaign. While in Germany it is not even of great interest, if the chancelor is a catholic or a protestant or a confessing christian at all, the evangelical groups in America seem to be vowed with enormous efforts and the utterances of a TV-preacher can be of more importance as those of the candidate himself. I see the different traditions in the relation between church and politics in the US and Europe. We Europeans should learn to talk more freely about our religious convincements and accept that, even if you are a politician, they are not to separate from the rest of the personality, but an essential part of it. Nevertheless, it is not the pastor or the church, America votes for, but the next president!

Hagee is not McCains pastor. It has not been made public knowledge who he is. Obama brought Wright into it because he proudly called his pastor his mentor. Then people looked and were disgusted.

Lieberman should be honest with the people of Connecticut and the rest of the country. He is no longer a democrat and he certainly is not an independent. For all intents and purposes, he is a republican and should come out of the closet and be honest with himself and everyone else.

Your ignorance over Lieberman's voting record in the Senate is overwhelming. He votes Democrat on almost all issues. Since he disagrees with the Democrat view of the war you and others want to label him a Republican. Is that what the Democrat party has come to? A single issue party? Keep it up and that will be the parties end. Time for a new one. We are winning and the Democrats just get shriller about ending the war. What a party to have to insist on losing it.
